Abstract

The invention relates to the field of metal forming, in particular to manufacture of wire by it multiple drawing. Electrical wire made of aluminum alloy is characterized in that in the cross section it comprises a core and a reinforced layer of microintegrity located around it and produced by plastic deformation of surface of a wire blank, and density and microintegrity of the reinforced layer is greater than density and microintegrity of the core, rupture strength makes 16(18 kgf/mm2 and the alloy comprises, by weight. %: iron - 0.5-0.7, silicon - 0.2-0.4, cerium, lanthanum, praseodymium in the amount of 6.0-10.0, impurities - 0.1-0.3, the rest - aluminum. There is also disclosed a method of manufacturing an electrical wire, which is characterized in that at first wire blanks of aluminum alloy in the form of several wires are chosen, each of which in cross section has a larger diameter D than the diameter d of electrical wire being manufactured, then cold drawing of the wire blanks is carried out through a calibrated die, annealing and natural cooling of the wire blanks up to ambient temperature, then the blank are heated in a furnace up to 350-450 °C, and wire blanks are held in the furnace for 35-70 minutes, the coils of wire blanks are removed from the furnace and cooled to ambient temperature, then the ends of wire blanks are welded together to form a long string of one wire blank that is subject to drawing, and above cycle of treatment of the string of wire blank is carried out many times and during multiple drawing the wire blank the initial diameter D of wire blank is reduced to the diameter d1 of wire blank within the ratios d1 = D (0.13-0.12), reduction of the diameter D of wire blank is carried out step by step along specified routes and then the string of wire blank rolled into a coil is subject to final annealing, cooling and finish drawing to obtain the given diameter d of the finished wire, and during finish drawing the wire blank is adjusted to the given diameter d of reduction of the blank diameter for a value d = d1 (0.55 – 0.45). The technical result: increase of wire surface microintegrity, strength and electrical conductivity. Another result is reduction of the cost of the wire manufacturing.
