Abstract

An oxidation ditch comprises closed O tank, inlet and outlet units of treated waste water, and hydraulic elevators for removal of sludge from ditch to sludge bed. For the intensification of the process of waste water purification, increasing of oxidation capacity of the plant and decreasing of square of sewage disposal plants the oxidation ditch passes along the perimeter of the sludge bed, which is placed above the level of water and separated from the ditch by filter barrier as a mound of coarse gravel. The bottom of the sludge bed is made of reinforced concrete and has an incline across the width of the ground from centre to edges about 10°. The ditch comprises stream aerators arranged near the unit of waste water inlet.
