A method for making wheat-rye bread provides for obtaining a liquid starter according to the traditional technology on the basis of brew, fermenting thereof, kneading dough adding wheat and rye flour, edible table salt, water, fermenting the dough, forming, proofing and baking. The brew is supplemented with mollusk hydrolyzate, the dough is kneaded not adding pressed yeasts and fermented in the course of 45…60 minutes, after forming it is subjected to proofing for 20…30 minutes.
