Abstract

The invention relates to a novel converter suspension. The supporting of a converter vessel (1) in a carrying ring (2) is carried out via a plurality of connecting elements (9), which determine the position of the converter vessel in the carrying ring. For this purpose, a number of connecting elements (9) are formed by disk packs (10) that are disposed on the bottom of the carrying ring (2) in a distributed manner, and are attached at the opposite end sections (10a, 10b) thereof to the carrying ring (2) and to the converter vessel (1). An advantageous novel converter suspension is achieved in that in addition a further number of connecting elements (9) is formed by pendulum rods (11), which are pivotally connected at one end to the carrying ring (2) and to the converter vessel (1) at the other end.
