Сироп від кашлю одержують таким чином: на стадії І 800 л очищеної води кип'ятять протягом 10 хв, потім охолоджують до 80 "С і додають консерванти (бензоат натрію 6,3 кг, натрій-метилпарабен 1,8 кг, натрійпропілларабен 1,8 кг, сорбінову кислоту 0,9 кг). Одержану суміш перемішують до повного розчинення компонентів, після чого додають 1500 кг цукрози і знову перемішують до повного її розчинення з подальшим додаванням гліцерину. На стадії ІІ у воду при 80 "С додають при перемішуванні консерванти (бензоат натрію 0,7 кг, натрійметилпарабен 0,2 кг, натрійпропілпарабен 0,1 кг, сорбінову кислоту 0,1 кг), після чого в одержаному розчині консервантів розчиняють сухі порошкові екстракти. Приготовлені раніше водні розчини різних екстрактів лікарських рослин змішують у сосуді з нержавіючої сталі і витримують при перемішуванні протягом 18 год при 20- "С, після чого розчин екстрактів фільтрують. Одержаний фільтрат вводять у цукровий сироп, змішують, охолоджують, фільтрують, доводять до рН 4,5-5,5 додаванням 1,3 кг лимонної кислоти. У З л води при 80 "С розчиняють 0,6 кг барвника, який додають до маси сиропу, ретельно перемішуючи. Ментол додають до 4 л ананасної віддушки, після чого одержаний розчин вводять у масу сиропу, перемішують 15 хв, потім кип'яченою охолодженою водою доводять об'єм до 2000 л при кількаразовому перемішуванні до повної однорідності сиропу).Cough syrup is obtained as follows: at stage I, 800 liters of purified water are boiled for 10 minutes, then cooled to 80 "C and preservatives are added (sodium benzoate 6.3 kg, sodium methylparaben 1.8 kg, sodium propylparaben 1.8 kg, sorbic acid 0.9 kg). The resulting filtrate is introduced into sugar syrup, mixed, cooled, filtered, adjusted to pH 4 .5-5.5 with the addition of 1.3 kg of citric acid. 0.6 kg of dye is dissolved in 3 l of water at 80 "C, which is added to the mass of syrup, mixing thoroughly. Menthol is added to 4 liters of pineapple scent, after which the resulting solution is injected into the mass of syrup, mixed for 15 minutes, then the volume is brought to 2000 liters with boiled cooled water with repeated mixing until the syrup is completely homogeneous).

Дослідження протикашльової дії сиропу «Амкесол» проводили на моделі експериментального кашлю, який викликали подразненням дихальних шляхів статевозрілих мурчаків парами аміаку у камері. Кількість приступів кашлю підраховували протягом 30 хвилин після впливу аміаку. Як препарати порівняння використовували сироп «Салмодил», таблетки «Бросал». Засоби вводили у профілактичному режимі протягом 4-х діб внутрішньошлунково, один раз на день. Останнє введення препаратів здійснювали за одну годину моделювання експериментально - Акк дхадщю. Проведені дослідження показали виражену та тривалу протикашльову дію сиропу ,Амкесол". Препарат протягом усього терміну спостереження достовірно зменшував кількість кашльоих поштовхів у порівнянні з тваринами, групи контрольної патології. За вираженістю та тривалістю фармакологічної дії сироп ,Амкесол" не поступається таблеткам ,Бросал" (що підтверджується рівно вираженою середньодобовою активністю цих препаратів) та переважає сироп Салмодил'".The conducted studies showed a pronounced and long-lasting antitussive effect of "Amkesol" syrup. Для оцінки протиалергічної активності сиропу ,Амкесол" використовували модель анафілактичного шоку, розвиток якого супроводжується спазмами гладкої мускулатури бронхів середнього та малого калібру, асфіктичними судомами, ціанотичністю вуха та кінчика носа у експериментальних тварин. Встановлено, що сироп "Амкесол" при застосуванні у профілактичному режимі на протязі 21 діб, попереджали розвиток анафілактичної реакції у мурчаків у відповідь на введення алергену. Виразність анафілактичної реакції у більшості тварин цієї групи склала 1 бал (у. 4-х з 6 мурчаків).
