Схема захисту від перенапруги і струму перевантаження містить розрядник захисту від перенапруги, ПТК-терморезистори, тиристорні діоди обмеження за напругою. Для випадків безперервних перешкод при короткому замиканні між телефонною лінією або лінією передачі даних і лінією електроживлення розрядник захисту від перенапруги має напругу спрацьовування від 440 В до 660 В. Тиристорні діоди і ПТК-резистори мають напругу спрацьовування від 180 В до 250 В.
