An object of the invention is creation of the method of rolling semi-finished products on pressing and billet mills, which allows to reduce number of the cracks and defects of “fish tail” type. A method provides for shaping cavities at rolling with squeezed broadening. The salient sections of rolled metal are located not near the boundary of pressed faces, but with a certain displacement toward the center of rolled metal.
