Abstract

The invention relates to turbine building and can be used at designing new and modernization of operating gas-steam turbine units. A method for transformation of heat energy to mechanical work in a gas-steam turbine unit includes processes of air compression, burning hydrocarbon fuel, cooling gas-vapor mix at performing work due to its expansion, utilization of heat of worked-out gases, condensation of moisture and its separation from the cooled has-vapor mix. Cooling the gas-vapor mix at moisture condensation is performed in direct contact of the gas-vapor mix with cooling water.
