Abstract

The invention relates to an improved method for the effective generation of electricity. According to said method, a Stirling motor (2) is connected downstream of a high-temperature fuel cell (1). The high temperatures of the fuel-cell exhaust gases (10, 11, 12) permit the Stirling motor to be used effectively. It is advantageous if only one inverter (6) is connected downstream of the fuel cell and the Stirling motor and is common to both. The combination of high-temperature fuel cell and Stirling motor significantly increases the operating efficiency of the entire system by over 55 %.
