Description
The utility model belongs to a container specially adapted for optical devices, namely to the designs of containers for contact lenses, and can be used for the storage and disinfection of contact lenses for routine replacement.
For a known horizontal contact lens storage container that includes a horizontally oriented body with two contact lens receiving reservoirs having discretely concave inner surfaces and lids for sealing the contact lens receiving reservoirs, see patent SV2154211 (A), from IPK classes A45C 11/00, B650 85/00, publ. 04.09.1985), which is taken as the closest analogue as the closest in terms of its essence and the effect achieved.
The main drawback of the known technical solution is that the design of the container does not meet the requirements for convenience and hygienic operation of containers for optical devices, in particular contact lenses. This defect manifests itself in the interim period between two active uses of the container. According to the generally accepted recommendations of ophthalmologists and manufacturers of contact lenses and containers for their storage, after removing a cleaned and disinfected pair of contact lenses from the reservoirs of the container, remove the spent solution, rinse both reservoirs for receiving contact lenses with a disinfecting solution for contact lenses, and be sure to leave the container open for some time to dry and only after that the container is closed with lids until the next use.
At the same time, the known design does not ensure the convenience and hygiene of drying the container in the open air, since the lids for sealing the container reservoirs are made as separate parts, which in the open state of the contact lens reservoirs are in no way, even temporarily, connected to the container body. Thus, during drying of the container, the user is forced to place the specified lids for sealing its tanks somewhere next to the container body on the surface of the table, cabinet, shelf, sink, etc. As a result, the lids can get dirty and simply get lost, for example, roll into a far corner, given their cylindrical shape, and it is very difficult for a person with poor eyesight to find such a relatively small object.
The useful model is based on the task of increasing the functionality of the container for storing contact lenses, ensuring convenience and hygienic operation due to
To ensure the possibility of at least temporary location of lids for sealing tanks in the plane of the container body, which is achieved by appropriate structural changes.
The solution to the problem is achieved by the fact that in a container for storing contact lenses, which includes a horizontally oriented housing with two reservoirs for receiving contact lenses and lids for sealing said reservoirs, according to a useful model, the horizontally oriented housing of the container is equipped with two compartments for receiving lids with the possibility location in each of them of the cover installed on the rib.
At the same time, in one of the possible variants of the implementation of the useful model, the compartments for receiving lids installed on the edge, according to the useful model, are made in the form of through-holes with a predominantly rectangular or elongated oval section, located in the plane of the horizontally oriented container body between the reservoirs for receiving contact lenses, while the length of the opening is smaller than the diameter of the cover.
In another embodiment of the utility model, the compartments for receiving lids installed on the edge, according to the utility model, are made in the form of recesses of a predominantly rectangular or elongated oval section, located in the plane of the horizontally oriented container body between the reservoirs for receiving contact lenses, while the length of the recess is smaller than the diameter of the lid.
The listed features of the proposed technical solution are essential features of the claimed useful model, and their combination ensures the achievement of the expected technical result, which consists in increasing the functionality of the design of the container for contact lenses and the convenience and hygiene of its operation.
The causal relationship between the essential features of the proposed useful model and the achieved technical result is as follows.
Due to the presence in the design of the proposed container of compartments for locating the lids mounted on the edge, the problem of placing the unscrewed lids for sealing the reservoirs of the container for contact lenses during the drying of the latter is completely solved: now both lids can be placed in the specified compartments, thus making a temporary connection connection with the container body. As a result, the lids are not lost and do not come into contact with any other surfaces, which reduces the risk of their contamination. The user can fix each unscrewed cap in its corresponding compartment on the container body by installing the cap on the side rib. At the same time, the location of the indicated compartments for covers between the reservoirs for receiving contact lenses does not interfere with manipulations with contact lenses, filling the reservoirs with solution for contact lenses and other possible actions of the user.
Compartments for receiving lids installed on the edge in the form of through-holes of mostly rectangular or elongated oval cross-section are completely technological, while this does not significantly change the manufacturing technology of this type of containers for contact lenses, and even contributes to reducing the material consumption of production. Considering the fact that the length of the hole, according to the useful model, is smaller than the diameter of the lid, the latter is reliably fixed in the hole and at the same time does not touch the side edge of the support surface on which the container is located, which prevents contamination, including microbiological contamination, of the specified lid .
Compartments for receiving lids installed on the edge in the form of recesses of mostly rectangular or elongated oval cross-section contribute to even more reliable protection of the lids from possible contamination.
The further essence of the useful model is explained by the drawings, which show the following: Fig. 1 - the proposed container for storing contact lenses, general view, the tanks are closed with lids; fig. 2 - a proposed container for storing contact lenses in the drying state of one tank, general view.
The proposed container for storing contact lenses includes a horizontally oriented body 1 with two reservoirs for receiving contact lenses (not shown) and, accordingly, lids 2, made with the possibility of hermetically closing said reservoirs by screwing on the outer side surfaces of the latter, which, respectively, contain an outer carving
The horizontally oriented body 1 of the container is equipped with two recesses - holes C for receiving lids 2. Holes C are located between the tanks 4 and are designed to hold lids 2 installed on the edge. At the same time, the depth of the hole C taken separately is smaller than the diameter of the cover corresponding to it, in particular cover 2, which ensures the possibility of keeping the specified cover 2 installed on the rib in a vertical position
2). Zo (Fig. 2). Thus, the above-described design allows for a temporary connection between the horizontally oriented body of the contact lens container and the lids for sealing the reservoirs of the container, which contributes to the convenience and hygiene of using the container during its drying for the time when the user wears the lenses.
The suggested container for storing contact lenses is used as follows.
The device is placed on a horizontal surface, for example on a table. The cover 2 of one of the reservoirs 4 is opened, the specified reservoir 4 is filled with a disinfecting solution for contact lenses, after which a contact lens is removed from the cornea of one eye, for example, the left, cleaned mechanically, rinsed with a small amount of disinfectant solution for contact lenses and immersed in the reservoir 4, filled with a disinfecting solution for contact lenses, after which the tank 4 is closed with a lid 2. The same sequence of actions is performed for the contact lens removed from the cornea of the right eye, it is placed for disinfection and storage in another tank of the container, closed with a lid.
Both contact lenses are left in their respective tanks for disinfection for a certain time (usually about 4-6 hours). After the specified time, the lids 2 are unscrewed and, having been installed on the rib, placed in the holes З with tension. Cleaned and disinfected lenses are taken out from the reservoirs of 4 containers one by one and put on the corneas of the eyes. The spent solution is carefully poured out of the reservoirs 4, controlling the position of the installed lids 2, the reservoirs 4 are rinsed with fresh disinfectant solution for contact lenses, after which the container is dried in the open air, the reservoirs 4 are closed with the lids 2. After that, the container is ready for use again.
The essential difference of the proposed useful model from the previously known ones consists in providing a temporary connection between the horizontally oriented container body for contact lenses and the lids for sealing the reservoirs of the container, which is achieved by equipping the container body with compartments for receiving the lids in the form of through holes or recesses, preferably rectangular or elongated of oval section, located between the reservoirs of the container body with the possibility of placing a lid installed on the edge in each of them. It is this difference that provides the main technical advantages of the proposed useful model in comparison with the closest analogue, namely:
- підвищення функціональності контейнера для зберігання контактних лінз за рахунок забезпечення принаймні тимчасової єдності конструкції горизонтально орієнтованого корпусу і кришок із збереженням вільного доступу користувача до вмісту резервуарів контейнера; - підвищення зручності експлуатації контейнера для зберігання контактних лінз для переважної більшості користувачів за рахунок забезпечення можливості тимчасового зберігання кришок у площині корпусу контейнера, а отже зменшення ризику втрати кришок, без обмежень маніпуляцій із контактними лінзами та контейнером в цілому; - забезпечення гігієнічності експлуатації контейнера для зберігання контактних лінз за рахунок усунення можливості контакту кришок із будь-якими поверхнями у проміжному періоді між двома активними використаннями контейнера.- increasing the functionality of the container for storing contact lenses by ensuring at least the temporary unity of the design of the horizontally oriented body and lids while preserving the user's free access to the contents of the container's reservoirs; - increasing the ease of use of the container for storing contact lenses for the vast majority of users by providing the possibility of temporary storage of the lids in the plane of the container body, and therefore reducing the risk of losing the lids, without restrictions on manipulations with contact lenses and the container as a whole; - ensuring the hygienic operation of the container for storing contact lenses by eliminating the possibility of contact of the lids with any surfaces in the interim period between two active uses of the container.
The proposed useful model has been tested in practice. The proposed container for storing contact lenses does not contain any structural elements or materials that could not be reproduced at the current stage of development of science and technology, in particular in the field of production of containers for optical products, and can be implemented using known technologies . At the same time, in the known sources of patent and other scientific and technical information, no designs of containers for storing contact lenses with the set of essential features specified in the proposal were found, therefore the proposed useful model meets the criterion of "novelty", and therefore can receive legal protection.
