Abstract

The invention relates to agricultural engineering, in particular to units for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots which can be used in potato harvesters. The unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feeding conveyer, a reflecting brush, a hollow cleaner, having in the middle part a hollow cylindrical ring of the oval cross-section, which is connected with a drive in rotary movement and formed by round rods, mounted with gaps, inside of which a driving pile spreader is mounted, and also of a blanket cleaner and an unloading conveyer. The lower part of the hollow cleaner, which is shaped as a flattened ellipsoid of revolution, has the shape of a flat ring, which is formed by round rods, arranged radially, fixed with gaps, and in the middle thereof the pile spreader, made as four figured blades with arched working surfaces, mounted at the end of the console driving shaft, arranged below. From above, inside of the hollow cleaner a reflector of a cone shape with the apex directed upwards is mounted. Its base has horizontal fingers, fixed radially with gaps, and the apex is kinematically connected with a mechanism of oscillatory movements in athe vertical plane. The invention lies in an increase in the quality of cleaning the tuberous roots from impurities.
