Abstract

A method of operation of a piston heat engine is in the fact that in one of cylinders processes of intake and compression of air to pressure 3.5 MPa are performed, with supply of compressed air to compressed air chamber connected with channels to common for working cylinders external combustion chamber, there fuel is fed through injector, for example, ethyl alcohol, and there the combustion process is carried out at a maximum temperature of the combustion products not higher than 1500 K. The products of combustion from the outer combustion chamber, connected with working cylinders by channels, are supplied through inlet valves in 5-10 degrees of crankshaft rotation before top dead point of the pistons to the working cylinders, there the processes of expansion of the combustion products and removal of those from the working cylinders through the exhaust valves take place, at motion of the pistons of working cylinders from the bottom dead point to the top one within 80-120 degrees of rotation of the crankshaft, and after their closure at 60-100 degrees of crankshaft rotation before the top dead point of the pistons of the working cylinders compression of combustion products that remain in the cavities of the working cylinder above the piston takes place. Application of the method of operation of the heat engine and the design, for instance as a power vehicle installation, provides, depending on the operating conditions, reduction of fuel consumption, for example ethyl alcohol, by 50-60 percent, decrease of emission of toxic chemical compounds with exhaust gases by 90-95 percent, without use of additional neutralization systems, and significantly reduces the intensity of sound radiation.
