Abstract
The invention relates to a compression-ignition internal-combustion and internal-cooling engine meant to actuate machines, equipments, installations, transportation means and electric generator sets. According to the invention, the engine consists of a mechanism (A) of translation-rotation conversion, a distribution mechanism (B) and a combustion chamber unit (C), providing the conditions necessary to perform the working cycle with internal-combustion and internal-cooling, the mechanism (A) of translation-rotation conversion providing the efficient conversion of the piston reciprocating translation movement into continuous rotation movement which, in another embodiment, may be made with two or four pistons, and the distribution mechanism (B) providing the variable gas distribution in the cylinder by a controlled actuation of both the opening of some concentric ring-like valves for intake and discharge and the opening of the communication between the cylinder and the combustion chamber unit (C) at constant volume, the combustion chamber unit (C) providing the conditions for performing the fuel injection and its combustion controlled, in stages, initially at constant volume and further, if necessary, at constant pressure, in the cylinder.
