Abstract
A working section of a chamber comprises a drive rod, which is adjustable on length for performance of emergency brake release functions of a brake actuator, the drive rod is made in the form of telescopically connected: a hollow output control rod and a bar provided with a locking mechanism preventing their relative movement, said locking mechanism consists of clamps made in the form of balls disposed in the radial openings of the rod for periodic interaction with an annular recess of the bar, a locking sleeve with longitudinal grooves on the inner diameter mounted with possibility of limited rotation on the cylindrical part of the outer surface of the output rod, and a torsion spring mounted by ends between the stop element of rod and the locking sleeve to move the latter in a normal position, at which the sleeve grooves are displaced relative to the radial openings of the output rod, fixing locking sleeve on the rod is made by locking said parts by the end of torsion spring or by a threaded connection. To ensure rapid emergency brake release of a vehicle the outer surface of the output rod at the end has in the cross section shape like an ellipse, in which the distance between the peaks of the major axis is greater than the distance perpendicular to it between the vertices of the minor axis, wherein the fork part of the rod is formed on this end by cutting made along the minor axis.
