Description

一種點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD顯示幕
本發明屬於電子紙顯示領域，是一種可實現同一螢幕點矩陣和段碼2合1顯示的EPD顯示幕。
EPD(electronic paper display)顯示幕是一種利用電泳顯示技術而製成的顯示幕。現有的EPD顯示幕，主要分為兩種，第一種為點矩陣顯示，以顯示變化的數位、文字、圖形圖像為主，更新資訊時，需要整個顯示畫面全部刷新，技術較為複雜，成本較高；第二種為段碼顯示，以顯示固定的文字和變化的數位為主，顯示技術較為簡單，僅適合於不需要顯示複雜內容的場所，這也是顯示領域的一大弊端。
針對現有技術，本申請人經過研究改進，提供一種點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD顯示幕，利用驅動IC實現同一螢幕點矩陣和段碼2合1顯示，充分利用驅動IC輸出能力幫助用戶來更新顯示幕的指定資訊。用戶可以分別刷新點矩陣部分和段碼部分，也可以點矩陣部分和段碼部分同時刷新。
本發明主要目的在於提供一種可實現同一螢幕點矩陣和段碼2合1顯示的EPD顯示幕。
為達上述之目的，本發明所設一種點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD 顯示幕，由一顆驅動IC驅動點矩陣部分和段碼部分。驅動IC由Source驅動和Gate驅動組成，驅動IC的一部分Source引腳與一部分Gate引腳為點矩陣部分提供輸出信號，剩餘的Source引腳為段碼部分提供輸出信號。點矩陣部分由驅動IC中的Source驅動和Gate驅動引出的連接線組成一個個圖元點，用來顯示變化的數位、文字、圖形圖像資訊。段碼部分由驅動IC中的Source驅動引出的連接線組成一個個Seg，用來顯示固定的文字和變化的數字。本發明可實現同一螢幕點矩陣和段碼2合1顯示，可以分別刷新點矩陣部分和段碼部分，也可以點矩陣部分和段碼部分同時刷新，刷新電流小，功耗低，操作簡單，方便快捷。
實施時，所述驅動IC由Source驅動和Gate驅動組成，具有Source引腳和Gate引腳，所述驅動IC的一部分Source引腳與一部分Gate引腳為所述點矩陣部分提供輸出信號，剩餘的Source引腳為所述段碼部分提供輸出信號。
實施時，所述點矩陣部分由所述驅動IC中的Source驅動和Gate驅動引出的連接線組成一個個圖元點，用來顯示變化的數位、文字、圖形圖像資訊。
實施時，所述段碼部分由所述驅動IC中的Source驅動引出的連接線組成一個個Seg，用來顯示固定的文字和變化的數字。
為進一步了解本發明，以下舉較佳之實施例，配合圖式、圖號，將本發明之具體構成內容及其所達成的功效詳細說明如下。

請參閱第1、2圖，圖式內容為本發明一種點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD顯示幕之一實施例，第1圖是本發明的結構示意圖。本發明的EPD顯示幕由FPC柔性線路板(Flexible Printed Circuit)1、驅動IC 2、點矩陣部分3、段碼部分4、STN(超扭轉向列型；Super Twisted Nematic)玻璃基板或無堿玻璃基板5、FPL電子紙墨水膜(Front Plane Lamination)6和PS保護片；Protective Sheet)防水膜7組成。所述FPC柔性線路板1用於連接開發板。所述驅動IC 2用來驅動點矩陣部分3和段碼部分4。
第2圖是本發明的顯示幕內部連線原理圖。主要用1顆驅動IC 2實現EPD顯示幕的點矩陣部分3和段碼部分4的2合1。驅動IC 2是用於驅動EPD顯示幕的，驅動IC 2內部由Source(源)驅動和Gate(閘)驅動組成。第2圖中S是Souree的簡寫，x是代表Source引腳的總數量；G是Gate的簡寫，n是代表偶數，m是代表奇數。
驅動IC 2的一部分Source(源)引腳與一部分Gate(閘)引腳為點矩陣部分3提供輸出信號，剩餘的Source引腳可以為段碼部分4提供輸出信號，可以充分利用驅動IC 2原本空餘的Source輸出引腳。
點矩陣部分3由驅動IC 2中的Source驅動和Gate驅動引出的連接線組成一個個圖元點，用來顯示變化的數字、文字、圖形圖像等其他資訊。
段碼部分4由驅動IC 2中的Source驅動引出的連接線組成一個個Seg(段碼)，用來顯示固定的文字和變化的數字，刷新時電流小，功 耗低。
本發明的使用方法如下：1、用戶需要更新段碼部分4的資訊時，只要將段碼部分4的資訊更新一下，點矩陣部分3的資訊無需變更，刷新電流小，功耗低；2、用戶需要更新點矩陣部分3資訊時，只要將點矩陣部分3的資訊更新一下，段碼部分4的資訊無需變更；3、用戶需要變更全部資訊時，只需要將段碼部分4和點矩陣部分3的資訊同時更新一下；4、用戶可以根據自己的需求來更新指定的資訊，操作簡單，方便快捷。
因此，本發明利用1顆驅動IC實現點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD顯示幕，具有以下之優點：
1、可使用STN玻璃基板代替原來使用的TFT玻璃基板實現點矩陣和段碼2合1的功能。本發明採用STN玻璃基板或無堿玻璃基板，在STN生產線上製造功能與TFT基板玻璃相同的STN玻璃基板或無堿玻璃基板，可極大的降低生產成本，而且STN玻璃基板比無堿玻璃基板成本更低。
2、實現點矩陣和段碼2合1，更好的體現EPD顯示幕的實際用途，提高效率。
3、充分利用驅動IC的輸出能力，幫助用戶來更新顯示幕的指定資訊。用戶可以分別刷新點矩陣部分和段碼部分，也可以點矩陣部分和段碼部分同時刷新。
4、由於可以點矩陣和段碼分開驅動，實際應用中驅動電流相比原來更 小，從而大大降低功耗，延長EPD顯示幕的電池壽命和縮短刷新時間，操作簡單，方便快捷。
綜上，本發明可實現同一螢幕點矩陣和段碼2合1顯示，可以分別刷新點矩陣部分和段碼部分，也可以點矩陣部分和段碼部分同時刷新，刷新電流小，功耗低，操作簡單，方便快捷。
以上所述乃是本發明之具體實施例及所運用之技術手段，根據本文的揭露或教導可衍生推導出許多的變更與修正，仍可視為本發明之構想所作之等效改變，其所產生之作用仍未超出說明書及圖式所涵蓋之實質精神，均應視為在本發明之技術範疇之內，合先陳明。
綜上所述，依上文所揭示之內容，本發明確可達到發明之預期目的，提供一種點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD顯示幕，極具實用性與產業上利用之價值，爰依法提出發明專利申請。

Claims (1)

  1. 一種點矩陣和段碼2合1的EPD(電子紙)顯示幕，其改良在於：包括FPC柔性線路板(Flexible Printed Circuit)、驅動IC、點矩陣部分、段碼部分、STN(超扭轉向列型；Super Twisted Nematic)玻璃基板或無堿玻璃基板、FPL電子紙墨水膜(Front Plane Lamination)以及PS(保護片；Protective Sheet)防水膜；在STN玻璃基板或無堿玻璃基板上方依次設置FPL電子紙墨水膜、PS防水膜，在PS防水膜上方設置點矩陣部分、段碼部分，在STN玻璃基板或無堿玻璃基板上設置FPC柔性線路板、驅動IC，FPC柔性線路板連接開發板，驅動IC驅動點矩陣部分、段碼部分；其中該驅動IC由Source(源)驅動和Gate(閘)驅動組成，具有Source(源)引腳和Gate(閘)引腳，所述驅動IC的一部分Source引腳與一部分Gate引腳為所述點矩陣部分提供輸出信號，剩餘的Source引腳為所述段碼部分提供輸出信號；該點矩陣部分由所述驅動IC中的Source驅動和Gate驅動引出的連接線組成一個個圖元點，用來顯示變化的數位、文字、圖形圖像資訊；其中該段碼部分由所述驅動IC中的Source驅動引出的連接線組成一個個Seg(段碼)，用來顯示固定的文字和變化的數字。
