在無線網路(例如,長期演進(LTE)及LTE升級版(LTE-A)網路)中,行動通訊裝置(也被稱為使用者設備或UEs)操作在蜂巢式覆蓋區域或小區(cell)內。一個或多個基地台(也被稱為演進式節點B(eNB)收發器)典型上係與各個小區相關聯。eNBs藉由監測UE狀態及調整與UEs及/或網路相關聯的組態選擇及參數而與UEs相通訊,且管理 UEs,以增加操作效率。

【發明內容及實施方式】
一般而言,此揭示提供改善無線網路(例如,LTE或LTE-A網路)中的使用者設備(UE)輔助資訊之信號發送的設備及方法。此UE(例如,行動裝置)可被配置以產生功率偏好指示符(PPI)。此PPI會與UE功耗與潛時之間的折衷相關聯。此UE還可被配置以產生移動狀態資訊(MSI)。此MSI會與此UE為在連接狀態中的時候之交遞率,及此UE為在閒置狀態中的時候之小區重選率相關聯。此PPI及/或此MSI可以讓此網路能夠配置無線電資源控制(RRC)參數,以改善系統/網路效能的UE輔助資訊訊息之形式而被發送至演進式節點B(eNB)。
在某些實施例中,UE輔助資訊訊息可被發送為上鏈共享通道(UL-SCH)上的媒體存取控制(MAC)層控制元件 (CE)信號。在某些實施例中,UE輔助資訊訊息可被發送為上鏈專用控制通道(UL-DCCH)上的無線電資源控制(RRC)訊息。

接收器電路202可被配置以回應於此輔助資訊的發送,而從eNB 104接收訊息。此回應可為RRC連接重新組態訊息,其包括可根據UE 102的此PPI及MSI之更新的不連續接收(DRX)組態參數。此更新的DRX參數可讓更有效率的UE操作(諸如,帶有影響潛時之提升電池電力的節能)成為可能。
在某些實施例中,此輔助資訊至eNB 104的發送可予以重複或重新發送,直到從eNB接收到回應。計時器/計數器電路210可被配置以施加此輔助訊息的連續重新發送之間的最小時間週期或延遲。在重新發送之間的此最小時間週期可被設定成臨限值,以在UE 102與eNB 104之間,降低信號發送額外負擔,且增加頻寬效率。在某些實施例中,分離的計時器可被使用於此PPI的重新發送及此MSI的重新發送。因為此eNB可選擇不要回應此輔助資訊,所以計時器/計數器電路210可另被配置以限制此類重新發送的總數。此計數器延遲臨限值及最大重新發送臨限值可藉由此eNB來予以設定,且被提供給此UE。在某些實施例中,這些值可被界定為各個小區共同的整數值、各個RRC連接所界定的整數值、各個輔助資訊觸發事件(例如,來自於閒置狀態的UE轉態,或UE功率偏好設定 的改變)所界定的整數值。

圖4繪示與本揭示一致的一個範例實施例之訊息流程圖400。訊息流程圖400提供經由RRC訊息交換而在UE 102與eNB 104之間的UE輔助資訊處理之範例。這些 RRC訊息格式將於下面更詳細地予以說明。初始連接402係藉由自UE 102傳送RRC連接請求(或RRC連接重新建立請求)而在此UE與eNB之間建立。此eNB接著以RRC連接設定(或RRC連接重新建立)訊息回應,且此UE以RRC連接設定完成(或RRC連接重新建立完成)訊息認可設定完成。在之後的某個時間點,UE輔助發送被觸發404。這例如可起因於來自閒置狀態至連接狀態的UE轉態,或UE功率偏好設定的改變。以RRC訊息的形式之此UE輔助資訊406被傳送至此eNB。此eNB會以將更新的DRX組態設定提供給此UE的RRC連接重新組態訊息回應,且此UE會以RRC連接重新組態完成訊息認可。

圖5繪示與和本揭示一致的一個範例實施例相關聯之資料結構500。UE 102可將此輔助資訊傳送至eNB 104,作為一些不同型式的RRC訊息(其被發送於UL-DCCH通道(其符合UL-DCCH訊息型式510)上)之任一者中的包含。在某些實施例中,可用的現有RRC訊息型式包含RRC連接重新建立完成520、RRC連接設定完成530、及UE資訊回應-r9 540。在某些實施例中,可提供新的RRC訊息型式(UE輔助資訊轉移-r11 550)。UE輔助資訊轉移-r11 550訊息可被提供為UL-DCCH訊息結構中的額外選擇 資訊元件(例如,c2 560)。

Claims (25)
