Description

實施增強專用頻道傳輸資料使用期間計時器之方法及裝置
本發明是關於一種無線通信系統,其包含至少一無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU)、至少一節點B以及一無線網路控制器(RNC)。本發明尤其是關於一種用以實行資料使用期間計時器的方法及裝置,其係支援增強專用頻道(E-DCH)傳輸。
用以改善上鏈(UL)覆蓋、生產能力以及傳輸等待時間之方法,現今在第三代夥伴計畫(3GPP)第6版(R6)中已經有所研究。為了達成這些目標,節點B將接管排程和分派上鏈資源給WTRUs之責任,節點B能做出更有效率的決定,且管理以短程為基礎之無線資源會比RNC較好,RNC仍然保持著對具有增強上鏈(EU)之胞元之一般性整體控制,以便該RNC能執行類似呼叫許可控制以及擁擠控制等功能。
混合自動重複請求(H-ARQ)技術提供一種程序,用以產生具有低等待時間的傳輸和重新傳輸。H-ARQ技術的一個主要方向係在於,在失效傳輸時所接收的資料係平穩地與連續重新傳輸組合,以便增加成功接收的機率。
當傳輸時使用H-ARQ機制以及節點B排程時,成功傳輸資料所需要的時間會有所不同,明顯地延遲傳輸會對僅需要非常低等待時間之傳輸應用程式帶來不利地影響,舉例來說,延遲的資料可當作為失效的傳輸,且該應用程式會以非必要重新傳輸作結束,因此,便需要一種限制傳輸等待時間的機制。
本發明是於一支援E-DCH資料傳輸之無線通信系統中執行,該無線通信系統包含一無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU)、至少一節點B以及一無線網路控制器(RNC)。該WTRU包含一資料緩衝器、一資料使用期限計時器、一資料重新傳輸計數器、一混合自動重複請求(H-ARQ)程序以及一控制器。該資料使用期限計時器會建立一個至少一資料區塊儲存於該緩衝器之一使用期限,該WTRU係配置以(i)週期性判定該使用期限計時器是否已經到期;(ii)判定該資料區塊是否先前以傳輸過;(iii)判定該使用期限計時器是否即將到期;以及(iv)判定實體資源是否已經配置。如果實體資源尚未配置給使用期限計時器即將到期之資料區塊,該WTRU會發送一緊急頻道配置請求給該節點B,如果實體資源已經配置,則該資料區塊相對於其他資料區塊在傳輸上會優先化。如果該使用期限計時器到期,或是如果該WTRU接收到回饋資訊指示該資料區塊未被該節點B成功地接收,則該資料區塊將被摒棄。

第2圖係為根據本發明在第1圖系統之WTRU中,實施資料使用期限計時器之程序流程圖。
此後,專用術語「WTRU」包含但並未限制於一使用者設備(UE)、一行動台、一固定或行動用戶單元、一呼叫器或可在一無線環境下操作之任何形式之裝置。當本文此後提到專用術語「節點B」,其包含但並未限制於一基地台、一站台控制器、一存取點或是在無線環境下任何結識的介面裝置。
本發明之特徵可整合至一積體電路(IC),或是配置在包含許多相互連接元件之電路上。
第1圖係為根據本發明之無線通信系統100之方塊圖,該系統 100包含至少一WTRU 102,至少一節點B 104以及至少一RNC 106。該WTRU 102包含一控制器122、一資料使用期限計時器124、一緩衝器126以及複數個H-ARQ程序128,並選擇性地具有一重新傳輸計數器130。該控制器122控制整體資料傳輸步驟,其包含初始該資料使用期限計時器124以及一H-ARQ程序128之配置。
該RNC 106藉由配置該節點B 104及該WTRU 102之WU參數,以控制該系統100之整體EU運作,該參數有例如運輸頻道(TrCH)或邏輯頻道資料之使用期限、初始傳輸功率等級、最大允許EU傳輸功率或是每一節點B 104之可利用頻道資源,E-DCH係建立以支援介於該WTRU 102及該節點B 104之間的EU傳輸。
關於該E-DCH傳輸方面,該WTRU 102經由一UL EU信號發送頻道110發送一頻道配置請求至該節點B 104,該頻道配置請求(或是其他UL EU信號發送),可經由該E-DCH 108而非該UL EU信號發送頻道110傳輸,而在回應方面,該節點B 104會經由一下鏈(DL)EU信號發送頻道112發送頻道配置請求資訊至該WTRU 102,在EU無線資源配置給該WTRU 102之後,該WTRU 102會經由一E-DCH 108傳輸資料。在回應該E-DCH資料傳輸方面,該節點B 104會經由該DL EU信號發送頻道112發送一H-ARQ運作之確認(ACK)或是非確認(NACK)訊息。
第2圖係為一根據本發明之程序200之流程圖,其係在用以支援E-DCH傳輸之WTRU 102中執行一資料使用期限計時器124。該WTRU 102可使用複數個資料使用期限計時器124,同時處理多重E-DCH傳輸。
當經由該E-DCH 108所傳輸之一個新的資料區塊被接收之後,該控制器122啟動該資料區塊之一資料使用期限計時器124,並結合於一H-ARQ程序128與該資料區塊,且新的資料區塊於該緩衝器126中等待(步驟202)。該RNC為每一E-DCH TrCH或是每一E-DCH邏輯頻道設定該資料使用期限之組態,根據UL傳輸是在MAC或是RLC接收,對每一傳輸初始該計時器。
E-DCH資料使用期限計時器124之值可由該WTRU 102之該 控制器122決定,其會考慮幾個因子,例如最大允許傳輸等待時間、RLC組態、該TrCH區塊錯誤率(BLER)等等,舉例來說,該最大允許等待時間決定該資料在傳輸之前可在緩衝器停留多久時間。除此之外,該BLER決定H-ARQ重新傳輸的數量,其會影響傳輸等待時間。分派給該資料使用期限計時器124之值亦可考慮WTRU資料處理,其係在WTRU 102之EU媒體存取控制實體(MAC-e)進行外部處理。
應用程式通訊協定(例如TCP/IP)需要最小的傳輸等待時間,以及傳輸等待中最小的變化,以便達成最大的生產力。當傳輸延遲發生時,資料會被預期為失敗或是摒棄,而非延遲以及重新傳輸,此導致該應用程式之不有效的行為。
在步驟204中,對於每一TTI,該控制器122會判定在WTRU 102之緩衝器126中,該資料區塊之資料使用期限計時器124是否到期(步驟206)。如果該資料使用期限計時器124已經到期,該控制器122會摒棄該資料區塊,並且釋出關連的H-ARQ程序128(步驟208),該WTRU 102可向RNC 106或是節點B 104報告此事件(步驟210),該WTRU 102可更進一步向節點B 104報告,藉由發送一具有特定指示之頻道配置請求,以說明該實體資源配置並不充足。
回到步驟206,如果該資料區塊之資料使用期限計時器124尚未到期,控制器122判定在WTRU 102之緩衝器126中之資料區塊,先前是否已經由WTRU 102傳輸過(步驟212),如果該資料區塊先前已經傳輸過,就會更進一步判定與該資料區塊相關之資料回饋資訊是否已經由該節點B所接收(步驟214),如果指示該資料區塊傳輸成功之確認訊息(ACK),則該資料區塊會從該緩衝器126中移除,而相關連之H-ARQ程序128會空出來以便支援其他資料區塊,且該資料使用期限計時器會重新設定(步驟216),如果沒有收到回饋訊息,該WTRU 102會等待該回饋訊息,直到下一個TTI為止(步驟218)。
在步驟212,如果判定該資料區塊先前未由WTRU 102所傳輸,或是該資料區塊已經傳輸,但卻收到只是該資料區塊傳輸失敗的非確 認訊息(NACK),則會重新傳輸該資料區塊。控制器122判定該資料區塊之該資料使用期限計時器是否已經接近到期,如果該資料使用期限計時器124尚未接近到期,則一個標準的H-ARQ運作會初始化以傳輸該資料區塊(步驟222)。
在步驟224中,當該資料使用期限計時器124接近到期時,該控制器122會判定實體資源是否已經被配置(步驟224),如果實體資源已經被配置,控制器122可選擇性地將該資料區塊之傳輸優先化(步驟226),如果實體資源尚未被配置,該控制器122可選擇性地發送一緊急頻道配置請求至該節點B,以便支援該資料區塊之傳輸(步驟228)。
回到步驟214,如果未收到NACK訊息,則該資料區塊會被重新傳輸,該控制器122可判定該重新傳輸計數器130是否已經達到最大重新傳輸限制(步驟230),每一次該資料區塊重新傳輸,該重新傳輸計數器130便會增額,而且該最大重新傳輸限制係由該RNC所設定。如果該重新傳輸計數器130尚未達到最大重新傳輸限制,程序200會進行步驟220,如果該重新傳輸計數器130已經達到最大傳輸限制,只要該資料區塊之該資料使用期限計時器124尚未到期,控制器122便會重新初始該H-ARQ程序128(步驟232),該重新傳輸計數器130會被初始化且一新的資料指示器會增額,以便指示該H-ARQ程序128之重新初始化。
儘管本發明之特徵和元件皆於實施例中以特定組合方式所描述,但實施例中每一特徵或元件能獨自使用,而不需與其他特徵或元件組合,亦能與/不與本發明之其他特徵和元件做不同之組合。

Claims (8)

  1. 一種無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU),包含:一控制器,配置以接收用於新資料的上鏈傳輸的實體資源的一第一配置,其中該第一配置係透過一下鏈信號頻道接收;其中所述控制器更配置以因應接收用於新資料的上鏈傳輸的實體資源的該第一配置而初始一計時器;其中所述控制器更配置以使用一混合自動重覆請求(H-ARQ)程序透過所述配置的實體資源而傳送包括該新資料的一第一區塊;其中所述控制器更配置以因應所述計時器的一過期且未收到實體資源的一第二配置,而透過一上鏈信號頻道為了實體資源的一配置來傳送一請求;其中所述控制器更配置以因應為了實體資源的一配置的所述請求,而透過一下鏈信號頻道來接收實體資源的一第二配置;以及其中所述控制器更配置以因應實體資源的該第二配置,而使用一H-ARQ程序來傳送一第二區塊。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項的無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU),其中所述第一區塊的傳輸於其他資料的傳輸之上是優先化的。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項的無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU),其中所述控制器更配置以接收初始所述第一區塊的傳輸的一邏輯頻道的資料。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項的無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU),其中所述控制器更配置以因應接收用於所述第二區塊的傳輸的資源的該第二配置而重新開始所述計時器。
  5. 一種由一無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU)執行的方法,該方法包含:在所述WTRU接收用於新資料的上鏈傳輸的實體資源的一第一配置,其中該第一配置係透過一下鏈信號頻道接收;因應接收用於新資料的上鏈傳輸的實體資源的該第一配置,而在所述WTRU初始一計時器;使用一混合自動重覆請求(H-ARQ)程序透過所述配置的實體資源而藉 由所述WTRU傳送包括該新資料的一第一區塊;因應所述計時器的一過期且未收到實體資源的一第二配置,而透過一上鏈信號頻道為了實體資源的一配置來藉由所述WTRU傳送一請求;因應為了實體資源的一配置的所述請求,而透過一下鏈信號頻道來在所述WTRU接收實體資源的一第二配置;以及因應實體資源的該第二配置,而使用一H-ARQ程序來藉由所述WTRU傳送一第二區塊。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第5項的方法,其中傳輸所述第一區塊於其他資料的傳輸之上是優先化的。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第5項的方法,更包含接收初始所述第一區塊的傳輸的一邏輯頻道的資料。
