Abstract
Et trådløst kommunikasjonssystem som støtter forbedret dedikert kanal (E-DCH) datatransmisjon, innbefatter en trådløs sende/mottakerenhet (WTRU), minst en node-B og radionettverksstyreenhet (RNC). WTRU innbefatter en buffer, en datalevetidtidsbryter, en datagjentransmisjonsteller, en hybrid automatisk repetisjonsforespørsel (H-ARQ) prosess og en styreenhet. Tidsbiyteren oppretter en levetid for minst én datablokk lagret i bufferen. Hvis fysiske ressurser ikke er blitt allokert for en datablokk tilknyttet en levetidtidsbtyter som nærmer seg utløp, sender WTRU en hurtigkanaltildelingsforespørsel. Hvis fysiske ressurser er blitt avsatt prioriteres datablokken for sending med hensyn til andre datablokker. Datablokken kasseres hvis levetidtidsbryteren utløper, eller hvis WTRU mottar tilbakeføringsinformasjon som angir at datablokken er vellykket mottatt ved node-B.
