Description

許多年前就已經知道,從運用再填充單元的分配器殼體(dispenser housing)中分配液體,例如皂類、消毒滅菌劑類、清潔劑類、消毒劑類等,該再填充單元容納液體並且提供用於分配液體的泵機構。與這種分配器一起使用的泵機構典型地是液體泵,其簡單地在致動器運動時發射出預定量的液體。最近,為了有效性和經濟的目的,希望以通過將空氣插入到液體中所產生的泡沫的形式分配液體。因此,標準液體泵已經讓位給泡沫產生泵,該泡沫產生泵必需以使得產生所希望的泡沫的這種方式將空氣和液體結合的裝置。

本發明提供了一種用於從可發泡的液體源泵抽可發泡的液體的泡沫泵。該泡沫泵包括預混室,該預混室具有接受來自可發泡的液體源的可發泡的液體的內部容積。該泡沫泵還包括預混室空氣進口閥以及可壓縮的空氣室,該可壓縮的空氣室包圍預混室,並且通過預混室空氣進口閥與預混室的內部容積流體連通。該可壓縮的空氣室具有擴張容積和壓縮容積,並且當可壓縮的空氣室從其擴張容積移動至其壓縮容積時,迫使可壓縮的空氣室內的空氣通過預混室空氣進口閥進入預混室,並與在預混室中接收的可發泡的液體混合。出口與預混室連通,且在可壓縮的空氣室從其擴張容積壓縮至其壓縮容積時,可發泡的液體和空氣從預混室被推進至出口。
在特定實施方案中,在出口處提供有篩網,以便由通過該篩網推進的可發泡的液體和空氣產生泡沫。在其他實施方案中,預混室由固定於底座(base)的彈性圓頂(resilient dome)形成。在其他實施方案中,可壓縮的空氣室由包圍該預混室的風箱體(bellows body)形成。
在圖1中,用數字10來示出和表示本發明的泡沫泵。泡沫泵10計畫以任何合適的方式與可發泡的液體源連通,雖然在這裏它被顯示為固定於容器12並與容器12流體連通,該容器12含有可發泡的液體S。通常應該領會的是,該容器12和泵10組合能夠用作分配器殼體的再填充單元,該分配器殼體提供了用於開動泵10的促動機構。該容器12可以是通氣剛性結構(以便在可發泡的液體S被排出時允許空氣流入)或者可以是可壓縮的結構,如本領域所已知的。

風箱體30固定於底座14,以便將預混室圓頂16包封在底座14和風箱體30之間界定的容積內。該容積部分地被預混室20填充,而在預混室圓頂16和風箱體30之間的容積被表示為可壓縮的空氣室32。可壓縮的空氣室32通過預混室空氣進口閥34與預混室20流體連通,並且可以通過空氣室進口閥36與外部大氣流體連通。正如它的名稱所暗示的,空氣室進口閥36允許空氣從外部大氣流入,通過風箱體30,再進入可壓縮的空氣室32,同時限制在相反方向上的流動。在這裏所示的特定實施方案中,該空氣室進口閥36是鴨嘴閥,但還可以使用其他閥。
風箱體30是有波紋的,具有壟部40和谷部42,並且由能為風箱體30提供可逆地在壓縮容積和擴張容積之間壓縮和延伸的能力的材料製成。該風箱體30在箭頭A的方向上是可壓縮的,以便將可壓縮的空氣室32壓迫至壓縮容積,並且較佳地由彈性足以使可壓縮的空氣室32移動回彈至擴張容積的材料製成。彈性絕不是必需的,因為還可以較佳地使用彈簧,如以下所述的。
彈簧54被定位成在風箱體30的端壁(end wall)56和預混室圓頂16的外表面之間延伸。彈簧54在附圖中顯示為被肋條58保持在端壁56上,以及被肋條60保持在預混室圓頂16上。因為預混室圓頂16是彈性的,所以預混室20具有壓縮容積和擴張容積,並且當風箱體30在箭頭A的方向上壓縮時,在彈簧54的影響下移動至其壓縮容積,朝著其壓縮容積壓迫可壓縮的空氣室32。這在圖2中見到。當可壓縮的空氣室32中的壓力足夠高時,迫使空氣通過預混室空氣進口閥34並進入預混室20。借此來迫使空氣通過預混室空氣進口閥34進入預混室20的容易程度將取決於打開閥所需的壓力。當空氣進口閥34打開時,空氣從可壓縮的空氣室32在壓力下進入預混室20,並且這將引起空氣和可發泡的液體在預混室20中的初始粗混合。
注入到預混室20內的空氣的力和預混室圓頂16的壓縮二者將迫使預混室20內混合的空氣和可發泡的液體進入到入口26處的出口通路24。該粗預混合物被迫使沿著出口通路24前進,並最終通過靠近分配管尖28設置的至少一個篩網46,以便均化空氣和可發泡的液體的混合物,產生通過出口閥29被分配的高品質泡沫產物。在特定實施方案中,篩網46可以作為混合筒(mixing cartridge)48的一部分,該混合筒48包括兩端被篩網固定的中空管50,這裏作為進口篩網52和出口篩網46示出。當預混室圓頂16回復到其正常靜止位置時,在預混室20中產生真空,以便通過進口閥22從可發泡的液體源抽吸附加劑量的流體。
在一個特定實施方案中,當泵10處於靜止時,進口閥22是打開的,且僅當壓力施加於預混室20的內容物時封住進口通路21的出口23。在該特定實施方案中,使用圓頂16,進口閥22將在施加力以便使圓頂16壓縮時關閉。因此,當圓頂16在被壓向底座14之後回復到靜止位置時,進口閥22容易打開,以允許可發泡的液體S進入預混室20。這也確立了液體S的流動路徑作為最小阻力的路徑,使得在圓頂16擴張時空氣通過空氣進口閥34吸入不大可能。在附圖中對於進口閥22所示的片在這種實施方案中將很好地發揮作用。
一般,進口閥22和空氣進口閥34應該設計成使得在圓頂16擴張時,進口閥22比空氣進口閥34更容易打開。這將有助於確保在圓頂16擴張時可發泡的液體S填充預混室20。同樣地,空氣室進口閥36不應難以打開,以至於它阻止或妨礙風箱體30的擴張。
通過提供彈簧54,在按箭頭A的方向對風箱體30施加力時,預混室圓頂16立即開始壓縮。因此,預混室20將壓縮至至少一定程度,而不論風箱體30僅少量移動,且在施加的力釋放時,該預混室20仍然起作用,以便從進口通路21吸引其中的液體。如果預混室20不壓縮,則它將在壓力釋放時不擴張,且因此不會從容器12吸入新產物。通過提供彈簧54,預混室20即使在短衝程(short stroking)泵時也能至少少量壓縮,其中“短衝程”被理解為小於可壓縮的空氣室32的風箱體30的完全壓縮。在許多泵中,短衝程導致泵功能的複雜化或者泡沫產品的品質不佳或這兩種情況。
本發明的泵提供了這裏所謂的“兩階段”混合功能,因為空氣被注入到預混室20內的可發泡的液體中,從而在到達篩網之前產生粗預混合物,該預混合物通過篩網被擠出。這與已知的單階段混合是有區別的,在單階段混合中,空氣和可發泡的液體首先在篩網處彙集。這裏實施的兩階段混合提供了更潮濕且更富集的泡沫,其具有更小的平均氣泡尺寸並且容易散佈。在一個特定實施方案中,可發泡的液體是液體皂,且通過本發明泵產生的富集、潮濕且可散佈的泡沫皂是非常理想的。

Claims (9)
