Description
本專利申請案主張關於2009年9月25日所申請之標題為”塑膠蓋面板緊固器之製造方法”之臨時專利申請案號61/245,901的優先權。
本發明關於用於將一面板面對面附接至另一面板之受制式(captive)面板緊固器。該螺絲係受制在組裝部內,該組裝部係附接至一面板,藉由轉動螺絲,允許該螺絲延伸越過第一面板與該第二面板以螺紋接合。
通常,受制式面板緊固器包括三件主要組件,螺絲、面蓋及套圈(ferrule)。該螺絲係首先附接至該面蓋,且之後將該螺絲與面蓋組裝至該套圈。所有部件向來由金屬組成,該面蓋係由容易變形之相當薄壁的鋁所形成。頭部螺絲包含具有螺紋之伸長栓桿(shank),其向下延伸於基部之上穿過套圈中之洞孔。該套圈之基部包含用以將套圈固定於面板之附接裝置。該螺絲可在套圈內之退縮與延伸位置之間滑動。該螺絲配裝有圍繞該螺絲向下延伸之圍蓋及至少一套圈頂部。該套圈頂部包含固定裝置,以防止螺絲/面蓋組件被向上拉出套圈外。一種附接裝置為位在套圈頂部,與位在該面蓋底部向內延伸之環圈鄰接的徑向延伸凸緣。當螺絲處於完全退縮位置時,該環圈頂部與該套圈凸緣底部鄰接。當一旦將面蓋與螺絲安置在套圈上面,藉由向內彎曲面蓋之金屬底部邊緣,組合成套圈時,較佳是,將位在面蓋底部之環圈與該面蓋形成一體。
先前技術存在之問題在於,由於有必須切除作廢之材料量,故面蓋之製造成本高。一旦形成時,須將面蓋組裝成螺絲,作為組裝程序步驟之一。若欲添加顏色至面蓋,可透過電鍍或上漆塗上顏色,但料件之耐久導致顏色之碎裂,使產品外觀破落。
為了改善上述先前技術之受制式面板緊固器,已設計本塑膠蓋面板緊固器。依據本發明,面蓋係由包覆成型在螺絲上之塑膠組成。此提供多數好處。首先,因該面蓋完全在外,故該製程未浪費。在塑造程序中所使用之任何過剩材料可再利用。由於該面蓋係全部包覆成型在螺絲上,故消除在組裝程序中將面蓋安裝至螺絲之步驟。於是,整體形成與組裝程序明顯比鋁蓋所需之製造及安裝程序較低廉。而且,在塑造前將塑膠化合物上色可完成著色,這使得耐用之著色面蓋具有卓越之耐久特性,其避免嘗試對鋁蓋著色時之先前技術的耐久問題。
本發明之獨特性質之一為面蓋可滑動地固定在套圈之裝置上。由於塑膠不輕易彎成新形狀,無法將鋁蓋之底部邊緣彎曲以形成向內延伸環圈之先前翻覆技術直接應用在塑膠蓋上。然而,已經發現對鋁所用之翻覆概念加熱則在塑膠蓋基部可成功形成環圈。施加熱允許塑膠以溫和施力流動。達成新形狀後,塑膠即冷卻且永久硬化成新預期形狀。
更明確地說,該等申請者已發明一種受制式面板緊固器之製造方法,始自將塑膠蓋包覆成型於具有栓桿之螺絲頭四周,該面蓋之圓柱形塑膠裙角向下延伸越過該螺絲頭之基部,該螺絲頭在底部形成圓形開口。之後,在將壓縮彈簧插入套圈之穿孔前,將其安置在螺絲栓桿四周,該套圈在頂部端具有徑向延伸凸緣且在底部端具有面板附接裝置。然後,針對套圈頂部表面壓按螺絲至面蓋裙角向下延伸在套圈凸緣下方之點。在該點處,沿著其底部邊緣,以徑向向內在塑膠裙角四周加熱及加壓,直到其永久變形至該裙角底部之開口係降至直徑比套圈凸緣小之環圈的點。較佳是針對加熱形成表面之翻覆接觸點加熱及加壓。此使螺絲在軸向於該螺絲退縮與延伸位置之間受制於套圈。
於此觀點,在詳細說明該發明之至少一實施例前了解到該發明未侷限於其應用至下圖中之說明或圖解所陳述的構造細節以及組件配置。本發明得以有其它實施例且可以各種方式加以實施。而且,了解到此處所用之措辭及術語係為說明起見且不應視為受限。
就其本身而論,該等嫻熟本技術者將體會到可輕易利用本揭露所本之概念作為其它結構、方法及系統之設計基礎,以實施本發明之數個目的。因此,重要的是在其未偏離本發明精神與範圍之程度內,皆視該等主張為包含該等同結構。
現在參照第1圖,表示本發明之受制式面板緊固器。此緊固器之基本元件包含可旋轉式及滑動式固定至套圈1之面蓋3。套圈1包含將套圈1固定再第一面板之面板附接裝置2。如此處之進一步說明,為了完成該等組件之組裝,面蓋5之低緣係依據本發明加以塑造。
現在參照第2圖,該發明之受制式面板緊固器的螺絲11包含滾花壓痕(knurled indentations)12,沿其側邊表面收納熔化之塑膠以增加抗扭矩(torque resistance)。使已塑造之面蓋13遠離螺絲17之底部,於完全延伸後,為使螺絲11與套圈1之間具更多之直接力移轉,螺絲11之頭部與套圈1之頂部直接接觸。當套圈1基部之附接裝置對螺絲頂部需要施加相當高力時,這具優勢。此等附接裝置例如可為緊箝式附接結構2,當施力時,該附接結構自面板收納冷金屬流。內向環圈16干擾套圈1頂部之徑向向外凸緣19,以便在軸向留住套圈上之面蓋。
第3及4圖表示應用本方法形成受制式面板緊固器面蓋之前與之後者,其中為了在面蓋基部形成內向環圈,該受制式面板緊固器包含針對筆直位於裙擺之已塑造的塑膠蓋13施加熱以形成滾壓。如此等圖中所見,施加軸向力且以第3圖表示,使緊固器下移觸抵形成表面15,透過加熱及加壓,使該形成表面15加熱,將塑膠蓋底緣熔化成第4圖中所示之合成形。一旦形成後,環圈與套圈1頂部之徑向向外的凸緣19鄰接,以防止面蓋13及套圈1被拉開而維持旋轉式且滑動式與該等組件接合。
因此,視前述只是該發明原理之圖解說明。而且,對彼等嫻熟該技術者將輕易想到多數之修飾及變更,故不想侷限該發明於所示及說明之確切構造與作業,且因此,只要落在本發明之範圍內,可採行適當之修飾及對等事項。
所主張之申請專利範圍具有新穎性,且欲由美國專利證書保護。

Claims (7)
- 一種受制式面板緊固器之製造方法,包括步驟:設置塑膠蓋螺絲,該螺絲具有螺絲頭、栓桿及向下延伸越過該螺絲頭之基部之面蓋的圓柱形塑膠裙角,該裙角在底部具有圓形開口;將壓縮彈簧安置在該螺絲栓桿四周;將該塑膠蓋螺絲插入套圈之穿孔內,該套圈在頂部端具徑向延伸之凸緣且在其底部端具面板附接裝置;針對該套圈之頂部表面壓按該螺絲頭之基部,其中該裙角向下延伸在該套圈凸緣下方,以及沿著其底部邊緣,以徑向向內在該塑膠裙角四周加熱及加壓,使得該底部邊緣永久變形至該裙角底部之開口係降至直徑比該套圈凸緣外徑小之環圈的點,因此使螺絲在軸向於該螺絲退縮與延伸位置之間受制於該套圈。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該塑膠蓋包覆成型在該螺絲頭四周。
- 如申請專利範圍第2項之方法,其中藉由滾動接觸加熱之形成表面施加該壓力。
- 如申請專利範圍第3項之方法,其中該螺絲有金屬組成。
- 如申請專利範圍第4項之方法,其中該栓桿伸長且具螺紋。
- 一種受制式面板緊固器之製造方法,包括步驟:將塑膠蓋包覆成型於具有栓桿之螺絲頭四周,該面蓋之圓柱形塑膠裙角向下延伸越過該螺絲頭之基部,該裙角在底部具有圓形開口;將壓縮彈簧安置在該螺絲栓桿四周;將該塑膠蓋螺絲插入套圈之穿孔內,該套圈在頂部端具徑向延伸之凸緣,且在其底部端具面板附接裝置;針對該套圈之頂部表面壓按該螺絲頭之基部,其中該裙角向下延伸在該套圈凸緣下方,以及沿著其底部邊緣,以徑向向內在該塑膠裙角四周加熱及加壓,使得該底部邊緣永久變形至該裙角底部之開口係降至直徑比該套圈凸緣外徑小之環圈的點,因此使螺絲在軸向於該螺絲退縮與延伸位置之間受制於該套圈。
