1303796 A7 B7 五、發明説明(1 ) 本發明係關於有機發光二極體(organic light emitting diode,簡輝;OLED)平面顯示器,尤指用於在一種主動矩陣 式平面6LED顯示器之發光元件補償老化效應之裝置。 人們建議有機發光二極體(organic light emitting diode, 簡稱OLED)平面顯示器裝置,供配合計算裝置,特別是配 合手提式裝置使用。顯示器之效率及有效性隨時間而變 化,並且顯示器之品質下降,特別是供諸如成像之敏感應 用。在品質上之此種減低,係由於在包含顯示器之材料隨 時間之變化,在電子組件之衰變等等。 特別是,OLED顯示器裝置受到在顯示器内之有機發光 材料之變化所影響。變化影響顯示器之效率及亮度。此等 變化也可能為彩色相依,亦即變化以不同方式影響在顯示 器裝置之不同彩色,因而不僅顯示器裝置之功率效率隨時 間而減低,而且彩色平衡有所變化。此等變化可能導致具 有不良亮度及彩色呈現之次級顯示器。 在一種主動矩陣式OLED顯示器(如圖1中所示),每一發 光元件由一關聯之控制電路予以個別控制,其包括一儲存 資料信號之電容器4。電容器通過一連接至資料線1及選擇 線3之電晶體2予以充電。一電晶體6予以在一電源8與接地 之間與發光元件7串聯連接。電容器予以連接至電晶體之 閘,以依據儲存在電容器之電荷量,控制通過發光元件之 電流,藉以確定發光元件之亮度。在發光元件對電流之響 應由於發光材料之老化而下降時,可增加在控制電路儲存 在電容器之信號或增加電源電壓,藉以重新校準發光元 本紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS) A4規格(210X 297公釐) 1303796
