(發明說明應敘明·發明所屬之技術領域、先前技術、内容 技術領域 本發明係關於射頻調變光學輻射,具體而言,係關於產 生調變光學信號的裝置及於光學信號上偵測所調變的射 頻信號之裝置。 先前技術 射頻調變光纖系統(如美國專利說明書5 917 636中所說 明者)可使行動網路涵蓋寬廣的區域。此類系統可接受資 料率及自由頻譜範圍的不斷增加,且可擴展所安裝的設傭 及基礎設施。此類系統的頻率增加可降低網路之射頻部分 所用的天線及裝置之尺寸,並增加整個系統的頻寬。對於 155百萬位元/秒及更高的資料率,二頻譜範圍62至63 ^沿及 65至66 GHz (二者均為國際電信聯盟未分配)已在nbs專案 (RACE 2067)的架構内視為特別適用於此類系統。 本發明可應用於此類頻率範圍及其他頻率,尤其是(但 並非排他地)所謂的亳米射頻範圍,其中空中無線電信號 的波長為1至1 〇亳米。此類無線電信號很容易由空氣及常 用的建築材料吸收,因此將無線電信號調變為光學信號特 別有利於傳輸,該光學信號係在光纖中從來源傳送至所謂 的「超微細胞」,此處可偵測到該無線電信號,若需要, 該無線電信號可輻射較短的距離。 為使光纖中色散所引起的問題減至最小,最好係藉由結 合二相位相關的光學載波,來產生調變光學信號,該等光 學載波係在雙重頻率雷射發射器中產生,且頻率偏移係等 O:\83\83164-960201.doc- 7 - 1294223
