An agrochemical composition suitable for water-surface application comprising at least one agrochemically active ingredient, granular nuclei having an apparent specific gravity of less than 1 and at least one surfactant chosen from alpha-olefinsulfonic acid salts, alpha-sulfo aliphatic acid salts, and oleoylmethyl tauride salts; a method of manufacturing said compositions; packaged agrochemical compositions containing said compositions; and methods of applying an agrochemically active agent to a paddy field using said packaged agrochemical compositions.
