Abstract

A folding pallet is provided which includes a base frame, and a pair of first and second vertical side frames disposed at the opposite sides of the base frame. The pallet is adapted to support a plurality of glass plates on the base frame, by holding the glass plates nearly vertically and against the first side frame. The first side frame is foldable inward, and the second side frame is detachable from the base frame. The first side frame has a pair of posts which are opposed along one side of the base frame. Each post of the first side frame has an upper post section and a lower post section which are swingable relative to each other about a first pivot so that the first side frame is foldable. Similarly, the second side frame is foldable inward and has a pair of posts. Each of the posts of the second side frame has an upper post section and lower post section which are swingable relative to each other about a second pivot. The first pivot and second pivot are different in height above the base frame so that the first and second side frames are laid one upon another when folded.
