Abstract
A communication cable is provided with a support strand and a coaxial cable spirally winding around the support strand; the coaxial cable contains an inner conductor, a medium encircling said inner conductor, an outer tubular metallic sheath encircling said medium, and optionally, a protective insulation sleeve encircling said metal sheath; the communication cable is made as such that the length of coaxial cable to that of support strand ranges 1.005 to 1.015; this communication cable is preferably winding around the support strand with varying length to keep signal loss caused by cable damage to the minimum. The communication cable of the present invention is in particular suitable for use in aerial installation with single channel, without the need to form expanded loop in the coaxial cable.
