Abstract
A method for producing heat-shrinkable polyolefin films comprising: (a) producing a polyolefin film structure containing a shrink control layer of at least one homogenously branched ethylene interpolymer having the following features: (i) a residual crystallinity measured by DSC; (ii) a short-chain branched distribution index (SCBDI) greater than 50%; (iii) a density in the range of 0.85 to 0.91g/cc; and (b). stretching the said polyolefin film structure under the stretching temperature of 55 to 110 DEG C, where the residual crystallinity of the homogenously branched ethylene interpolymer is in the range of 14 to 17 wt%, and the selected stretching temperature is no more than 5 DEG C above the lowest stretching temperature of the polyolefin film structure.
