Abstract

The invention provides a manufacturing method of cutting mat for convenient work, which mainly comprises the following features: providing a substrate material and a panel material that can be hot pressed and bonded; taking release agents and print it in a predetermined area of a recess on the surface of the substrate material, and making the melting point temperature of the release agents higher than the melting point temperature of the substrate material and the panel material. The panel material and the substrate material are fused by hot pressing through a hot pressing method. At this time, the panel material corresponds to the predetermined area of the recess, and the release agents will be in a hot pressed and non-bonded state due to the high melting point. A die-cutting method is used to chop one of the panel materials in the predetermined area for removal. After the die-cutting method is executed, a removable waste is formed in the predetermined area for material removal. Then the removable waste can be easily removed, so that the predetermined area for material removal is changed into a groove type.

Description

Cutting pad for convenient work and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention relates to a cutting pad; in particular, to an innovative technical disclosure of a cutting pad which is more convenient to work and a manufacturing method thereof.

Cutting mats are widely used in a variety of fields that require cutting operations, such as sewing, patchwork, paper crafts and models.

Although cutting pads have been around for quite a long time, their appearance has rarely changed and their functions have rarely been improved. However, users have found in their long-term practical experience that the structure of cutting pads is still not perfect and needs to be improved. For example, when users are cutting, they may need some auxiliary accessories or tools to complete the work smoothly, depending on the nature of the work. The accessories or tools may include some small things, such as sewing needles, pins, etc. , paper clips, thumb tacks or screws, etc.; as far as the current situation is concerned, users may place some storage boxes next to the cutting pad to accommodate the above accessories or tools, but it may be inconvenient to use them because the distance is too far. However, if the user wants to put them on the cutting pad nearby, because it is known that the overall surface of the cutting pad is flat and smooth, if the above accessories or tools are placed on it, it should be difficult to stabilize and easily appear any rolling displacement. This is indeed an important technical issue worthy of attention and breakthroughs from the relevant industry.

Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned problems existing in the known cutting pad, how to develop an innovative technology that can be more ideal and practical is indeed waiting for the relevant industry to further think about the goal and direction of breakthrough; in view of this, the inventor, based on many years of experience in manufacturing, developing and designing related products, has designed and carefully evaluated the above-mentioned goals and finally obtained this invention which is truly practical.

The main purpose of the present invention is to provide a cutting pad and a manufacturing method thereof that facilitates work. The technical problem to be solved is to explore and innovate a new cutting pad structure and a manufacturing method thereof that is more ideal and practical.

Based on the above-mentioned purpose, the technical feature of the present invention for solving the problem lies mainly in that the method includes the following steps: (a) providing a substrate material and a panel material, wherein the substrate material and the panel material are plastic materials that can be fused by heat pressing, and the melting point temperature of the substrate material and the panel material is between 75°C and 170°C; (b) taking a release ink and printing it on a predetermined concave area on the surface of the substrate material, and making the melting point temperature of the release ink higher than the melting point temperature of the substrate material and the panel material; (c) through a heat pressing means, the panel material and the substrate material are heat pressed and fused to form a cutting pad, after the heat pressing means is executed, the panel material corresponds to the substrate material (d) cutting a predetermined area of the panel material for material removal by a die cutting method, wherein the predetermined area for material removal corresponds to the contour of the predetermined area for the concave portion, and the cutting depth is consistent with the thickness of the panel material. After the die cutting method is executed, a removable waste material is relatively formed in the predetermined area for material removal; (e) the removable waste material is easily removed, so that the predetermined area for material removal is transformed into a concave shape; thereby, a cutting pad product with a concave portion is obtained.

The effects and advantages of the present invention mainly utilize the characteristic that the melting point of the release ink is relatively higher than the melting point temperature of the substrate and panel materials. When the hot pressing means is performed, the release ink will be in a hot pressing non-bonded state at the predetermined area of the panel material corresponding to the concave portion of the substrate material, so that the removable waste formed in the predetermined area of the material removal can be easily removed to obtain a cutting pad with a concave portion. The cutting pad manufacturing method disclosed in the present invention utilizes the release ink printing technology in combination with the die cutting means, and can quickly and accurately produce a cutting pad with a concave portion through a simplified process. The finished cutting pad has good industrial economic benefits such as being easy to mass produce and low in cost. The finished cutting pad has a groove, which allows the user to place small accessories or tools nearby during the cutting process, so that it is particularly practical and progressive in terms of convenience in application, and greatly improves the added value and competitiveness of the cutting pad product. In addition, the die cutting method is more conducive to customized needs because of its easy contour shaping and low manufacturing cost, and is convenient for producing grooves with rich, diverse and variable contours, which has the advantage of meeting the diverse needs of customers.

Another purpose of the present invention is to further assemble another technical feature of a magnetic plate or foam element after the predetermined area of the material removal is transformed into a groove shape, thereby achieving the advantages and practical progress of magnetically attracting magnetic objects or inserting needle-shaped objects.

Another object of the present invention is to achieve a release ink distribution area slightly larger than the area of the predetermined area for material removal by adopting another technical feature that the area of the predetermined area for material removal must be larger than the area of the predetermined area for material removal under the premise that the contours of the predetermined area for material removal correspond to those of the predetermined area for recessed portions, so as to ensure that the process of removing removable waste materials can be completed smoothly and effectively avoid the problem of a local area of the predetermined area for material removal being bonded by hot pressing due to cutting tolerance.

Please refer to Figures 1 to 9, which are preferred embodiments of the cutting pad and its manufacturing method for facilitating work of the present invention. However, these embodiments are for illustrative purposes only and are not limited to this structure in patent applications.

The method comprises the following steps: (a), as shown in FIG3 and FIG4, providing a substrate material 10 and a panel material 20, wherein the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20 are plastic materials that can be fused by heat pressing, and the melting point temperature of the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20 is between 75°C and 170°C; (b), taking a release ink 30 and printing it on a predetermined concave area 11 on the surface of the substrate material 10, and making the melting point temperature of the release ink 30 higher than the melting point temperature of the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20; (c), as shown in FIG3 and FIG5, by A hot pressing means 40 is used to hot press and fuse the panel material 20 and the substrate material 10 to form a cutting pad. After the hot pressing means 40 is executed, the panel material 20 corresponds to the predetermined recessed area 11 of the substrate material 10, and the release ink 30 will be in a hot pressing non-bonded state due to its relatively high melting point; (d) as shown in Figures 3 and 6, a cutting die cutting means 50 is used to cut a predetermined material removal area 21 of the panel material 20, wherein the predetermined material removal area 21 corresponds to the contour of the predetermined recessed area 11, and the cutting depth H (As shown in FIG8) is consistent with the thickness of the panel material 20. After the die cutting means 50 is executed, as shown in FIG9, a removable waste material 60 is relatively formed in the predetermined area for material removal; (e) as shown in FIG9, the removable waste material 60 is easily removed, so that the predetermined area for material removal 21 is transformed into a groove shape; thereby, a cutting pad product having a groove portion 215 is obtained.

The release ink 30 described in the above paragraph, more specifically, refers to an ink having the property of being easily peeled off from the surface of the printed object (Note: the release ink can be obtained by a person having ordinary knowledge in the technical field through a professional ink supply pipeline).

200°C。The melting point of the release ink 30 is higher than 200°C.

The substrate material 10 and the panel material 20 are either a single-layer plate (as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 ) or a composite structure of multiple layers of plates; the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20 are selected from any one of the following materials: polypropylene (PP, whose melting point is between 155°C and 170°C), polyvinyl chloride (PVC, whose melting point is between 75°C and 90°C) or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE, whose melting point is between 120°C and 150°C). The composite structure of the multiple layers of plates is shown in FIG. 11 , and the panel material 20B shown in this figure is a composite structure of multiple plates.

As shown in FIG. 2 , in this example, after the predetermined area 21 for material removal is transformed into a groove shape, a magnetic plate 71 or a foam 72 is further assembled. This example is to illustrate that the groove portion 215 of the finished cutting pad of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1 , can allow the user to place small accessories or tools (such as pins, paper clips, thumb tacks, and screws, etc.) nearby during the cutting process; further, it can also be assembled through the embodiment of the magnetic plate 71 to magnetically attract magnetic objects (such as paper clips, thumb tacks, screws, and nails, etc.); or through the embodiment of the foam 72, some needle-shaped objects (such as sewing needles, pins, etc.) can be inserted.

Among them, the shape of the predetermined area 21 for material removal is transformed into a groove, which includes any type of single groove or spaced multi-groove configuration, and when it is the spaced multi-groove configuration type as shown in Figure 2, the contour shape and size of each groove part 215 include any type of the same or different.

As shown in FIG. 10 , the area of the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20 in the step (a) is capable of being provided with a plurality of cutting pads (Note: the figure only shows the substrate material 10, and the number of cutting pads is four). When the die cutting means 50 in the step (d) is executed, the cutting and dividing are performed simultaneously, thereby obtaining the plurality of cutting pads. Similarly, the step (b) of printing the release ink 30 on the predetermined recessed area on the surface of the substrate material 10 also refers to the predetermined recessed areas of the plurality of cutting pads (as shown in FIG. 10 ). As can be seen from this example, in the process of producing the cutting pads disclosed in the present invention, assuming that the finished product size of a single cutting pad is 450 mm×600 mm, the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20 can be printed with ink and cut in a size of 965 mm×1320 mm. In this way, the most efficient mass production speed can be achieved. Of course, this is only a preferred embodiment of this part and is not limited to this.

As shown in FIG8 , under the premise that the outlines of the predetermined area for material removal 21 and the predetermined area for recessed portion 11 correspond to each other, the area of the predetermined area for recessed portion 11 must be larger than the area of the predetermined area for material removal 21. The proportional configuration relationship defined in this paragraph is mainly to make the distribution area of the release ink 30 slightly larger than the area of the predetermined area for material removal 21, so as to ensure that the process of removing the removable waste material 60 can be completed smoothly, and effectively avoid the problem that a local area of the predetermined area for material removal 21 is adhered by hot pressing due to cutting tolerance.

By virtue of the above-mentioned manufacturing method and technical features, the cutting pad product disclosed in the present invention has a groove portion 215, which allows the user to place small accessories or tools nearby during the cutting process (see FIG. 1 ), thereby having a practical improvement in terms of convenience in application, and greatly improving the added value and competitiveness of the cutting pad product. The actual application of the cutting pad product of the present invention is quite wide, including sewing, patchwork, paper art, modeling, crafts, clay creation and maintenance, etc.

The manufacturing method disclosed in the present invention is partially shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 9, which mainly utilizes the characteristic that the melting point of the release ink 30 is relatively higher than the melting point temperature of the substrate material 10 and the panel material 20. When the hot pressing means 40 is executed, the panel material 20 corresponds to the predetermined concave area 11 of the substrate material 10, and the release ink 30 will be in a hot pressing non-bonded state, so that the removable waste material 60 formed in the predetermined material removal area 21 can be easily removed to obtain a material having a concave portion 2 15, the cutting pad manufacturing method steps disclosed in the present invention utilizes release ink printing technology in combination with a die cutting means 50, and can quickly and accurately produce a cutting pad product having a groove portion through a streamlined process, thereby having better industrial economic benefits such as being conducive to mass production and low cost; in addition, the die cutting means 50 is more conducive to customized needs due to its easy contour shaping and low manufacturing cost, and is convenient for producing a groove portion 215 with rich and diverse contours (such as regular or irregular shapes) and variability, which has the advantage of meeting the diverse needs of customers.

It is to be noted that the cutting pad product of the present invention can be implemented in a single cutting surface or a folded plurality of cutting surfaces.
