Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, the former method has the essential disadvantage that it takes a lot of time and effort to produce the display pieces and attach them, resulting in poor industrial productivity and high costs. On the other hand, although the latter injection molding method is suitable for mass production of the same type of display panels, it is unsuitable for high-mix, low-volume production due to high mold costs.

Means for Solving the Problems For the above purpose, as a result of various experiments and research, the present inventor has developed a method to form sharp convexities on one side of a molding resin sheet by performing so-called embossing molding under specific molding conditions. The present invention has been completed by discovering that it is possible to form a dispatch display section.

That is, the first invention utilizes a plate-shaped mold formed by penetrating in the thickness direction a through-hole portion having a shape corresponding to a display portion of characters, figures, etc., and inserts the mold into a flat receiving plate. After that, a thermoplastic resin sheet for molding, whose tensile strength has been adjusted to a range of 1.0 to 7.0 Kg/cm 2 by heating, is placed on top of the mold and immediately pressed over the entire surface with a pressing plate. The gist of this article is a method for manufacturing a synthetic resin molded display board, characterized in that a part of the resin sheet is press-fitted into the through-hole of the mold by pressing the mold with a fixed pressure, thereby forming a convex display part. The invention provides, in carrying out the first invention,
The mold is superimposed on the receiving plate via a transfer film having a heat transfer colored layer of a different color from the molding resin sheet on the upper surface, and the colored layer is transferred and formed on the top surface of the convex display section. It is characterized by this.

The type of thermoplastic resin sheet for molding is not particularly limited. Generally, vinyl chloride resin, polycarbonate resin, ABS resin, etc. are used, but depending on the purpose, styrene resin, acrylic resin, etc. may also be used. Further, the resin sheet may preferably have a thickness of about 2.0 to 3.0 mm.

The mold can be a plate-shaped body made of a rigid material with the required heat resistance, and specifically, in addition to metal plates such as iron plates and aluminum plates,
A heat-resistant hard synthetic resin plate such as a phenolic resin plate can also be used. Since the mold is used to press-fit a part of the molding resin sheet into the hole to form a correspondingly shaped display section, if the thickness of the mold exceeds 5 mm, the sharpness of the display section may be reduced. This makes molding difficult.

The receiving plate for overlapping the molds and the pressing plate for pressing the resin sheet for molding should both be flat plates with a flat working surface, and their material should be metal, like that of the mold. board,
A synthetic resin plate or the like may be used. The press plate may be made of a material having some elasticity, and thus may be made of heat-resistant synthetic rubber.

The heating temperature of the thermoplastic resin sheet for molding during molding is a particularly important factor in implementing this invention. The heating temperature varies depending on the type of resin, but its range can be determined by the tensile strength of the resin sheet when heated. In other words, the resin sheet for molding has a tensile strength of 1.0 during molding.
The heating temperature is specified within a range of ~7.0Kg/cm 2 . If the tensile strength at heating is less than 1.0 Kg/cm 2 , not only will it be difficult to handle the heated resin sheet when placing it on the mold, but also the molded plate will The resin flows between the overlapping surfaces of the molded display board and the receiving plate, causing harmful burrs on the top periphery of the display portion of the molded display board. On the other hand, the tensile strength
If it is too high, exceeding 7.0 Kg/cm 2 , it will be difficult to properly press fit the resin into the through hole of the mold, and as a result, it will be difficult to form a sharp convex display area. The most preferable range of tensile strength of the resin sheet during molding is approximately 1.5 to 5.0 kg/cm 2 . The heating temperature within the range where the above tensile strength can be obtained is, for example, 165 to 185°C in the case of a vinyl chloride resin sheet, particularly preferably 170 to 180°C, and 185 to 205°C, particularly preferably 190°C in the case of a polycarbonate resin sheet.
~200℃, 165~185℃ for ABS resin sheet,
Particularly preferably, the temperature is about 170 to 180°C.

The pressing force of the molding resin sheet by the pressing plate is 10
It should be set to about 20 kg/cm 2 . If this is too low, it will be difficult to form the display section sharply, and if it is too high, there is a risk that burrs will appear on the periphery of the top surface of the display section.

The transfer film is used when the top surface of the display part of a molded display board is colored in a different color to obtain a beautiful display board with high visibility. As the transfer film, conventionally commercially available films can be used. For example, a polyester film is used as a base material, and one side of the film has a transparent protective coating, a colored layer such as a metal vapor deposited layer, and Preferably used is one having a thermal transfer colored layer formed by sequentially laminating heat-sensitive adhesive layers, and the thermal transfer colored layer is transferred to the molding resin side during molding.

Therefore, after placing the mold 3 on the receiving plate 2 in an overlapping state, the molding resin sheet 4 is
℃, and by heating, the tensile strength at the time of heating is 1.8.
This was placed on the above-mentioned mold in a state where the weight was adjusted to Kg/cm 2 , and the entire surface was immediately pressed using the pressing plate 5. This pressing force was set at approximately 15 to 16 kg/cm 2 .
Then, by waiting for the molding resin sheet 4 to cool and removing it from the mold 3, a molded display board 8 as shown in FIG. 3 was obtained. The display board 8 has a display section 9 projecting to a height of 2 mm on the surface, and the display section 9 has a sharply angular top surface periphery without any burrs, and a substantially flat back surface. It was hot.

Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, as described above, especially by adjusting the heating tensile strength during molding of the resin sheet for molding,
By secondary thermoforming from a sheet, especially by using a so-called embossing technique, it becomes possible to manufacture a molded display board having a convex display portion on its surface.
Moreover, since the molding operation is carried out with a plate-shaped mold in which the display part molding capitivity is formed as a through-hole section separately stacked on a receiving plate, it is possible to The air in the through-holes is naturally discharged from between the bottom surface of the mold and the receiving plate by being replaced with resin, and the tensile strength of the resin sheet during molding is reduced without creating air bubble marks in the molding display area. Coupled with the setting of the above specific range, it is possible to obtain a display board with a sharp molded shape without burrs. Furthermore, when using the molding method of the present invention, a flat plate material such as a metal plate is used as the mold, and the molding process is performed by cutting the material to form through holes for the required characters, symbols, figures, etc. Since the mold can be completed and the molding operation is simple, it is possible to manufacture molded display boards at low cost, and it is possible to suitably respond to the production of a wide variety of display boards in small quantities.

Furthermore, when molding is performed using a transfer film as in claim 2, it is possible to easily produce a display board with even better visibility and beauty, with the top surface of the display section colored in any desired color. I can do it.
