捲封罐蓋F之前的罐體C係卡合於搬入輸送帶102之各附屬件103而被搬送,且朝向藉由驅動機構151所被旋轉的封罐轉盤101。
另一方面,罐蓋F係自罐蓋分離單元210一片片地被切割送出,然後被傳遞至罐蓋搬送轉盤250之各凹槽P,並藉由罐蓋搬送轉盤250之旋轉,朝向封罐轉盤101(參照圖1)。
搬入輸送帶102、罐蓋搬送轉盤250之速度、其時序係以罐體C與罐蓋F之中心在合流點G一致之方式配合封罐轉盤101之速度、而調整時序,使從驅動機構151經由適當之齒輪、凸輪機構等而旋轉被控制的罐體載置單元350在合流點G上升,藉此將罐蓋F載置在被載置於平板360上的罐體C。
其後,罐體載置單元350更進一步上升,軋頭321內之頂出墊322壓住罐蓋F,並使從驅動機構151經由適當之齒輪、凸輪機構等而旋轉被控制的軋頭321嵌合至罐蓋F,並進行罐蓋F之中心校正,載置罐蓋F的罐體C利用於捲封所必要之既定的軸負載被平板360與軋頭321及頂出墊322所夾持。繼而,封罐轉盤101更進一步旋轉,於被夾持的罐蓋F與罐體C到達至於圖1所示之捲封區間E之前,平板360與軋頭321則加速至捲封所需之旋轉數。
於通過捲封區間E之過程中,使封罐單元410固定於輥擺動軸132之下端的捲封桿450擺動,並將分別樞接於兩端以便進行旋轉的1次捲封用、2次捲封用之2個封罐輥451、452自側方朝向軋頭321,依次壓抵於罐體C及被載置於其上部的罐蓋F之凸緣,從而進行雙重捲封。
