Description

Adhesive tape

The present invention relates to an adhesive tape which is excellent in peeling workability, and excellent in various properties such as rough surface adhesion, water resistance, and cold resistance, for use in applications such as masking tape for rough surface coating.

Adhesive tapes having a non-adhesive portion in the adhesive layer have been used for various purposes. For example, Patent Documents 1 to 6 disclose a masking tape for coating, and it is explained that the adhesive tape can be easily peeled off by using a non-adhesive portion as a gripping region. Patent Document 7 discloses that the adhesive tape is not applied to the side end portion, and it is described that the adhesive can be easily peeled off and adhered to the adherend by using the non-adhesive portion. Patent Document 8 discloses an adhesive tape for binding light objects such as a bundle of vegetable bundles and a plastic bag for food, which can be easily bundled by a finger in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The adhesive tape is designed to be easily torn when the adhesive tape is torn by a finger to hook the non-adhesive portion. On the other hand, Patent Document 9 discloses a masking tape for decoration, and it is explained that an object can be inserted therein by providing a non-adhesive portion at the center and providing a cylindrical or bag-shaped space that is not in contact with the adhesive. Further, Patent Document 10 describes a shielding adhesive tape used to shield excess solder when the target of the sputtering target and the backing material are joined by solder, and the non-adhesive portion is used as a degassing passage. Further, Patent Document 11 discloses an adhesive tape for a battery, and it is described that a non-adhesive portion is designed on both side edge portions of the base material in order to prevent bleed out of the substrate.

A solvent-based adhesive is particularly proposed for the adhesive used for such an adhesive tape (Patent Documents 5, 6, 7, 8, and 11). However, if the solvent-based adhesive thickens the adhesive layer, foaming or the like occurs during the heating and drying steps, and therefore it is necessary to be thinned. In this case, it is difficult for the sticky object to follow the rough surface such as the road. Moreover, if the pressure contact force is not applied, the adhesiveness is low, and it is difficult to construct at the height of the ceiling and the scaffold. Moreover, since the adhesiveness to a wet place is low or the adhesiveness at a low temperature is low, it is difficult to apply after raining or winter and cold. Moreover, the conventional adhesive tape must also improve the peeling workability.

Fig. 6 is a schematic view showing the deformation of the bowl described in the examples and the comparative examples.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a schematic plan view showing an embodiment of an adhesive tape of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 are diagonally striped. Form each other. Therefore, there is a gripping area on a part of the cut end face of the adhesive tape and the side surface, so that part can be easily peeled off. Further, the pattern formed by the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 is a pattern in which all or a part of the difference in the thickness of the tape between the non-adhesive portion and the adhesive portion is offset when the adhesive tape is wound up to form a tape roll. The pressure due to the presence of the adhesive does not concentrate in a specific place in the winding direction, so that the cut surface of the adhesive tape is beautiful, the outer surface of the tape roll is smooth, and the winding collapse is less likely to occur. Each of these cases will be described in detail in the embodiments to be described later.

Fig. 2 is a schematic plan view showing an embodiment of an adhesive tape of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the non-adhesive portion 1 is provided in parallel to the tape width direction. Therefore, there is a gripping area on the side of the adhesive tape, so that it can be easily peeled off from the side. Further, when the non-adhesive portion 1 is cut, it is possible to easily peel off from the cut end surface. Moreover, the pattern formed by the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 is formed when the coiled adhesive tape is formed into a roll of tape, and all or a part of the difference in the thickness of the tape between the non-adhesive portion and the adhesive portion is offset. Since the pattern is in a dispersed state in the case where the winding pressure is not concentrated in the winding direction, the cut surface of the adhesive tape is beautiful, and the outer peripheral surface of the tape roll is smooth, and winding collapse is less likely to occur. Each of these cases will be described in detail in the embodiments to be described later. Further, for example, by adjusting the width of the non-adhesive portion 1, the object orthogonal to the tape is brought into contact with the non-adhesive portion 1, and the member around the object is brought into contact with the adhesive portion 2, and the object can be made It will be fixed in the state of being attached to the adhesive.

Fig. 3 is a schematic plan view showing an embodiment of an adhesive tape of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the non-adhesive portion 1 is provided at both end portions along the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape. Therefore, there are gripping regions on both end portions and side surfaces of the cut end face of the adhesive tape, so that it can be easily peeled off regardless of where. Further, for example, when the object is simply fixed or the like, the non-adhesive portion 1 at both end portions can be grasped and simply provided.

Fig. 4 is a schematic plan view showing an embodiment of an adhesive tape of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the non-adhesive portion 1 is provided at the center along the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape. Therefore, there is a gripping area at the center of the cut end face of the adhesive tape, so that it can be easily peeled off from the cut end face. Further, for example, when it is used for sealing of a packing box such as a corrugated cardboard box, when the non-adhesive portion 1 at the center is cut by a dicing blade at the time of opening the carton, the adhesive does not adhere to the dicing blade. Moreover, even if there is a gap in the packing place by the corrugated cardboard box, the contents do not adhere to the adhesive.

In the embodiment described above with reference to Figs. 1 to 4, the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is preferably used from the viewpoint of easy peeling regardless of the vertical and horizontal directions. However, the pattern of the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 of the present invention is not limited to the embodiment shown in Figs. Other various patterns such as a dot pattern, a lattice shape, a random shape, and a pattern may be imparted.

In the present invention, the thickness of the adhesive layer is 0.03 to 0.6 mm, preferably 0.04 to 0.4 mm, more preferably 0.05 to 0.4 mm, and particularly preferably 0.06 to 0.25 mm. It is preferable to thicken the adhesive layer as in the present invention, in particular, to improve the adhesion to the rough surface such as roads, water resistance, cold resistance and the like. Further, in the case where the adhesive layer is thickened as in the present invention, it is preferable to prevent the non-adhesive portion 1 from colliding due to an external force such as pressurization, and to maintain good peeling workability, and it is preferable to When the adhesive does not come into contact with the adhesive, it is preferable from the viewpoint that it can be surely not contacted. Such a thick adhesive layer is more difficult to form using a solvent-based adhesive composition.

The adhesive layer is a layer composed of a solid adhesive composition.

The adhesive tapes of the following Reference Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Reference Examples 1 to 3 were produced, and the adhesives were evaluated by the following methods. The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2.

1] [Reference Example 1]

A polyethylene layer is laminated on one side of the Staple Fiber (the opposite side of the adhesive layer forming surface), and a long-chain alkyl-based release profile is coated on the polyethylene layer to obtain a thickness of 0.15 mm. Substrate. On the other hand, 100 parts of natural rubber, 150 parts of calcium carbonate, 100 parts of a tackifying resin (made by ZEON Co., Ltd., QUINTONE (registered trademark) R100), and 30 parts of processing oil were obtained by kneading by a pressure kneader. Solid adhesive composition. The solid adhesive composition was applied to the entire surface of one side of the substrate by a rolling roll to form an adhesive layer having a thickness of 0.04 mm to obtain an adhesive tape.

2] [Reference Example 2]

An adhesive tape was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 1 except that the thickness of the adhesive layer was changed to 0.06 mm.

3] [Reference Example 3]

Except that the thickness of the adhesive layer was changed to 0.11 mm, the rest were compared with Reference Example 1. Make adhesive tapes in the same way.

4] [Reference Example 4]

A polyethylene layer was laminated on one side of the staple fiber woven fabric (the opposite side of the adhesive layer forming surface), and a long-chain alkyl-based release sheet was coated on the polyethylene layer to obtain a substrate having a thickness of 0.21 mm. On the other hand, 100 parts of natural rubber, 120 parts of calcium carbonate, 85 parts of a tackifying resin (made by ZEON Co., Ltd., QUINTONE (registered trademark) G115), and 20 parts of processing oil were obtained by kneading by a pressure kneader. Solid adhesive composition. The solid adhesive composition was applied to the entire surface of one side of the substrate by a rolling roll to form an adhesive layer having a thickness of 0.07 mm to obtain an adhesive tape.

5] [Reference Example 5]

An adhesive tape was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 4 except that the thickness of the adhesive layer was changed to 0.11 mm.

6] [Reference Example 6]

An adhesive tape was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 4 except that the thickness of the adhesive layer was changed to 0.15 mm.

7] [Reference Example 7]

An adhesive tape was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 4 except that the thickness of the adhesive layer was changed to 0.23 mm.

1] [Comparative Reference Example 1]

A polyethylene layer is laminated on both sides of the polyethylene woven fabric, and a long-chain alkyl-based release profile is coated on the unilateral polyethylene layer (the polyethylene layer on the opposite side of the surface on which the adhesive layer is formed) to obtain a thickness. 0.125 mm substrate. On the other hand, 20 parts of butyl acrylate, 77 parts of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, and 3 parts of acrylic acid were dissolved in a solvent, and 2,2'-azobis(isobutyronitrile) as a starter was used. By polymerization, a matrix polymer having a solid content of 50% is obtained. To 100 parts of the matrix polymer, one part of an isocyanate-based curing agent (manufactured by Soken Chemical Co., Ltd., trade name: L-45) was added and stirred to obtain a solvent-based adhesive composition. This solvent-based adhesive composition was applied to the entire surface of one surface of the substrate by a roll coater, and dried to form an adhesive layer having a thickness of 0.02 mm, thereby obtaining an adhesive tape.

2] [Comparative Reference Example 2]

An adhesive tape was produced in the same manner as in Comparative Reference Example 1, except that the amount of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate was changed to 79 parts, and the amount of acrylic acid was changed to 1 part.

3] [Comparative Reference Example 3]

In Comparative Reference Example 2, the thickness of the adhesive layer was changed to 0.11 mm, but foaming of the adhesive composition caused that an appropriate adhesive tape could not be produced.

The adhesion of the adhesive tape having a width of 25 mm to the SUS plate was measured in accordance with JIS Z 0237 (2000).

Adhesion to rough surface]

Imagine, for example, a rough surface such as a road, making a #400 abrasive paper fixed on a SUS plate. Test board. According to JIS Z 0237 (2000), the adhesion of the 25 mm wide adhesive tape to the surface of the test plate was measured.

According to JIS Z 0237 (2000), the 30° viscosity of the adhesive tape was measured by a 30° inclined ball tack test.

As shown in Fig. 5, the base material 3a of the adhesive tape 3 having a width of 25 mm was directed inward, and the adhesive layer 3b was directed outward to form a ring having a circumference of 100 mm. The two end portions were gripped by the jig 4 of the measuring device, and descended to the edge of the jig of the measuring instrument at a speed of 300 mm/min, and the height between the SUS plate 5 and the SUS plate 5 was 20 mm, and then the measurement was performed at the same speed as the original one. The adhesion of the time. The ring initial tack is assumed to be an adhesion test in a state where no crimping force is applied.

Adhesion to wet matte]

Imagine, for example, a rough surface such as a road, and prepare a test plate in which #280 abrasive paper is fixed to a SUS plate (grinding surface is upward). After the test piece was immersed in water for 3 minutes, it was taken out, and the test plate was hand-washed to remove water droplets, and the adhesion of the adhesive tape having a width of 25 mm to the test plate was measured in accordance with JIS Z 0237 (2000).

Setting load peeling at low temperature]

Imagine using the fixed-weight peeling test at -20 °C in cold weather. The SUS plate specified in JIS Z 0237 (2000) is connected to an area of 25 mm wide by 50 mm long. The test tape was placed and a 300 g hammer was suspended at the end of the tape. The peeling distance of 1 minute was measured, or when it was completely peeled off within 1 minute.

The residual solvent in the adhesive layer was measured by a headspace method (heating conditions: 80 ° C, 40 minutes) using a gas chromatograph analyzer manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation.

Evaluation results of adhesive>

As is apparent from the results shown in Table 1, the adhesive layers of the adhesive tapes of Reference Examples 1 to 7 were composed of a solid adhesive composition, and were excellent in almost all items. For example, since the adhesion of the rough surface which is not sufficiently dried after the rough surface and the rain is generally excellent, it can be understood that a sufficient fixing force can be obtained for the usual road and the road of wetting, and since the inclination is 30°, the viscosity and the ring shape are obtained. Since the initial tackiness is excellent, it can be understood that a sufficient fixing force can be obtained even if no pressure bonding is applied, and since the constant load peeling in a low temperature environment is excellent, it can be understood that even if it is not easily peeled off in winter, and because there are few residual solvents, Therefore, environmental pollution is less likely to occur.

On the other hand, almost all the items of the adhesive layer composed of the solvent-based adhesive composition of the adhesive tapes of Reference Examples 1 to 2 were inferior to Reference Examples 1 to 7. For example, adhesion, viscosity, and one of the reasons for poor peeling of the load are considered to be thinner than the reference examples 1 to 7. On the other hand, in Comparative Reference Example 3, although the thickness of the adhesive layer was set to be 0.11 mm which is the same as that of Reference Examples 3 and 5, it was impossible to form a proper adhesive tape due to foaming of the solvent-based adhesive composition. When the solvent-based adhesive composition is used as such, it is difficult to thicken the thickness of the adhesive layer.

Evaluation test of peeling workability>

The adhesive tapes of the following Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Example 1 were produced, and the peeling workability of the adhesive tape was evaluated in accordance with the following method. The results are shown in Table 3.

1] [Example 1]

5mm。 Except for the use of a rolling roll, a single layer of the substrate is formed as shown in Fig. 1, except that the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 are alternately disposed in a stripe-like manner. An adhesive tape having a glue width of 25 mm was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 2. The stripe width of the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 was set to 5 mm, respectively.

2] [Embodiment 2]

10mm。 In the same manner as in Reference Example 2 except that the adhesive layer was formed on the single side of the substrate by using a rolling roll as shown in Fig. 2, the adhesive tape layer was formed in the same manner as in Reference Example 2 except that the non-adhesive portion 1 was placed in parallel with the adhesive tape width. Adhesive tape. The length of the non-adhesive portion 1 was set to 5 mm, and the length of the adhesive portion 2 was set to 10 mm.

3] [Example 3]

5mm。 Except that the rolling roll was used, as shown in FIG. 3, the adhesive layer of the non-adhesive portion 1 was provided at both end portions, and the adhesive tape width of 25 mm was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 2. Adhesive tape. The width of the non-adhesive portion 1 was set to 5 mm, respectively.

4] [Example 4]

5mm。 An adhesive tape having a glue width of 25 mm was produced in the same manner as in Reference Example 2 except that the roll of the non-adhesive portion 1 was provided at the center as shown in Fig. 4 by using a rolling roll. . The width of the non-adhesive portion 1 was set to 5 mm, respectively.

1] [Comparative Example 1]

The adhesive was applied in the same manner as in Reference Example 2 to form an adhesive tape having a width of 25 mm.

Adhesive tape with a length of 100 mm is attached to a metal surface without irregularities, and the touch is felt according to the state of peeling off the cotton work glove. price.

[◎]: Easy to peel off.

[○]: Slightly peeled off.

[×]: Not easy to peel off.

As is apparent from the results shown in Table 3, the adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 4 were excellent in peeling workability because the non-adhesive portion 1 became the gripping region. Specifically, the adhesive tape (Fig. 1) of the first embodiment can be easily peeled off from the gripping region regardless of the position at which it is cut. The adhesive tape of Example 2 (Fig. 2) can be easily peeled off from the gripping zone when the non-adhesive surface is cut at the end. The adhesive tape (Fig. 3) of Example 3 can be easily peeled off from the gripping zone regardless of the position at which it is cut. The adhesive tape of Example 4 (Fig. 4) was slightly easier to peel off than the adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 3 because the gripping zone was located at the center, but it was particularly easy compared to the adhesive tape of Comparative Example 1. Stripped. On the other hand, since the adhesive tape of Comparative Example 1 did not have a gripping area, it was not easily peeled off.

In addition, since the adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 4 are provided with the non-adhesive portion 1, the adhesion and the adhesiveness are somewhat lowered as compared with the reference example 3, but even this is farther than the solvent-based adhesive. Comparative Example 1 of the composition of the agent was excellent in adhesion and viscosity.

Evaluation test of appearance and change of time of tape roll>

The appearance of the tape roll of the adhesive tapes of Examples 1 to 4 and the change with time were evaluated in accordance with the following methods. Specifically, the adhesive tape is wound up on a paper tube as shown in the upper side of FIG. 6 to form a tape roll 6 (width 25 mm, winding length 25 m or 300 m), visually observing the peripheral surface of the tape roll 6, and the end of the tape. The cut surface was evaluated according to the following criteria. Further, the paper tube of the tape roll 6 was suspended from the shaft, and left at 40 ° C for one week. The presence or absence of the winding collapse (bowl deformation) as shown in the lower side of FIG. 6 was visually confirmed, and evaluated according to the following criteria. The results are shown in Table 4.

[◎]: There was no problem with the peripheral surface and the cut surface, and no winding collapse occurred.

[○]: Although the peripheral surface and the cut surface were slightly problematic, no winding collapse occurred.

[△]: There is a slight problem with the peripheral surface and the cut surface, and there is a winding collapse.

[×]: There is a big problem with the outer surface and the cut surface, and there is a winding collapse.

Evaluation result of resistance to winding collapse of tape roll>

From the results shown in Table 4, the adhesive tape of Example 1 (Fig. 1) and the adhesive tape of Example 2 (Fig. 2) were free from the peripheral surface and the cut surface of the tape roll 6, and no winding collapse occurred. . On the other hand, in the adhesive tape of Example 3 (Fig. 3) and the adhesive tape of Example 4 (Fig. 4), when the tape roll 6 was wound 25 m, there was a slight problem in the peripheral surface and the cut surface, and the tape roll 6 was wound. There was also a winding collapse at 300m.

Specifically, the adhesive tape of Example 3 (Fig. 3) and the adhesive tape of Example 4 (Fig. 4) have the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 at the ends or the center in the winding direction. The continuous pattern is formed, and if it is taken up to form the tape roll 6, the difference in tape thickness between the two portions 1 and 2 is multiplied, resulting in unevenness on the outer peripheral surface of the tape roll 6. On the other hand, the adhesive tape of the first embodiment (Fig. 1) and the adhesive tape of the second embodiment (Fig. 2) are not continuous in the winding direction because the pattern composed of the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 is not. Therefore, if it is taken up to form the tape roll 6, the difference in tape thickness between the two portions 1 and 2 cancels out, and the peripheral surface of the tape roll 6 is smoothed.

The adhesive tape of Example 3 (Fig. 3) and the adhesive tape of Example 4 (Fig. 4) have continuous non-adhesive portion 1 and adhesive portion 2 at the ends or the center in the winding direction. The pattern, so if it is taken up to 300m to form the tape roll 6, the adhesion difference caused by the difference in the thickness of the tape between the two parts 1 and 2 will have a large multiplication effect, after hanging for one week at 40 ° C A winding collapse occurs. On the other hand, the adhesive tape of the first embodiment (Fig. 1) and the adhesive tape of the second embodiment (Fig. 2) are not continuous in the winding direction because the pattern formed by the non-adhesive portion 1 and the adhesive portion 2 is not continuous. Even if it is taken up to 300 m to form the tape roll 6, the difference in adhesion between the two portions 1 and 2 is offset, and winding collapse does not occur even after hanging at 40 ° C for one week.
