Abstract

Description

使佣者設備量測資訊之無線網路控制器點對點之交換
本發明是有關無線通訊系統。特別是,本發明是有關此類系統中無線網路控制器間之資訊傳送。
第一圖顯示一無線通訊系統,此系統中所有的使用者皆藉由一無線網路控制器(RNC)20來管理。每個使用者,即無線傳送/接收單元(WTRU)24,與節點-B 221(Node-B 221)進行無線通訊。節點-Bs 221-222群組係由無線網路控制器(RNC)20所控制。

在第三代無線技術統合計劃(3GPP)的R99、R4及R5的規格下,當WTRU241、242從S-RNC 28交遞至D-RNC 26時,胞元開始裝載且許多節點-B量測資訊會從S-RNC 28發送至D-RNC 26。然而,並沒有一個機制能從S-RNC 28傳送可信的資訊至D-RNC 26,例如WTRU量測資訊。
因此,在RNC之間能有更佳的點對點通訊是一件令人渴望的事。
一種偏移無線傳送/接收單元(WTRU)具有一相連的偏移無線網路控制器(D-RNC)與一相連的服務無線網路控制器(S-RNC)。偏移無線網路控制器(D-RNC)發送一要求信息至服務無線網路控制器(S-RNC)要求偏移WTRU的量測資訊,S-RNC接收此要求信息並發送一被要求的量測資訊信息至D-RNC,此D-RNC接收此資訊信息。

雖然較佳實施例是以第三代無線技術統合計劃(3GPP)之寬頻分碼多重存取(W-CDMA)規格來描述,但實施例亦應用在其他無線通訊系統。
未來,一種無線傳送/接收單元(WTRU)包含但不限制在使用者裝置、行動基地台、固接或移動用戶單位、呼叫器、或能於無線環境下操作的任何其他形式裝置。
第三圖是一"正在偏移"的WTRU 242在使用點對點資訊交換時,一S-RNC 40、一D-RNC 38及一IUR 36的簡易方塊流程圖。第四圖是點對點資訊交換的流程圖。S-RNC 40為"正在偏移"的WTRU 242執行例如交遞判斷和收集WTRU下行通路量測資訊的功能,D-RNC 38則為"正在偏移"的WTRU 242執行功能,例如動態通道分配(DCA)、進入許可控制、排程以及RRM等功能。
D-RNC 38具有一RRM 42,RRM 42為與D-RNC 38相連之胞元之WTRUs管理資源,D-RNC 38替"正在偏移"的WTRU242之胞元以及其他利用上行量測收集裝置44的胞元收集上行通路量測資訊,這些量測資訊在RRM 42可用來作為資源配置和管理之用途,RRM 42也具有可讓WTRUs執行S-RNC功能的資訊。
D-RNC 38已與RRM 42邏輯連結,當RRM 42要求"正在偏移"的WTRU242或一個群組或WTRUs之下行量測資訊,邏輯46啟動一WTRU量 測需求裝置48透過IUR36發送一訊息,即步驟60。
D-RNC 38可能會要求該資訊的樣本,包括下行通路公共控制物理信道(CCPCH)接收信號編碼功率(RSCP)、干擾信號編碼功率(ISCP)量測及/或流量量測。較佳地,D-RNC資訊要求信息不能要求WTRU242執行或送出量測,但D-RNC 38要求此類的量測資訊可即時被S-RNC 40所利用。
在Iru 36上的信號訊息(signaling message)允許任一D-RNC 88啟動與位在個別WTRU上、位在WTRU群組上或是在出現於一個或更多胞元中的WTRU上的S-RNCs之資訊交換,因此其並不假設其在一S-RNC中的角色。此過程較佳地並不是一個簡單的WTRU特有資訊之"轉遞(forwarding)",例如WTRU量測。較佳地,該D-RNC邏輯46通常對於所需的資訊型態做決定,縱使邏輯函數46可能藉控制RNC(C-RNC)來表現。一位於D-RNC 38中的邏輯函數46係決定是否以及何時其將需要量測以便自該S-RNC 40而被發送。例如,假使D-RNC 38偵測到超過一個門檻數或是百分比,例如10%,的WTRU是處於"偏移"模式,其典型地將會開始要求量測以便被發送。在一較佳實施中,由節點B介面(Iub/IUR)之第三代無線技術統合計劃(3GPP)標準所定義而存在的資訊元件以及標準化的WTRU量測/紀錄機制係被利用。
一較佳信息允許D-RNC 38在一特定時間間隔中對一特定"偏移"WTRU 242,或是對位在一特定胞元中的所有"偏移"WTRU,亦或是在特定時間間隔內對與S-RNC 40有關的胞元群組來請求量測。當擁有一特定S-RNC的許多WTRU處於"偏移"模式時,一種請求WTRU群組資訊的通信定義表是被渴望的。例如,一第一列車站(train station)係藉一第一RNC所支撐而一第二列車站則是藉一第二RNC所支撐。搭上開始於該第一列車站而正 離開該第二列車站之列車的所有WTRU可能具有該第一RNC,例如S-RNC 40,以及該第二RNC,例如D-RNC 38。在此通信定義表中,要求"偏移"WTRU群組中的WTRU資訊將減少了信息過量。然而,一具有被增大之信息過量(messaging overhead)的通信定義表,此過程在該處將僅允許每個WTRU之一單獨WTRU能被使用。
此訊息係被正在偏移的WTRU S-RNC 40所接收,步驟62。該S-RNC 40具有一WTRU量測收集裝置52。此WTRU量測收集裝置53儲存特定WTRU的下行通路量測。一WTRU量測回應裝置50透過IUR36發送一量測/資訊訊息至D-RNC38,步驟64。D-RNC RRM 42使用這些量測在它的資源分配與管理中,步驟66。透過IUR 36來轉換這些資料的一個好處是這些資料轉換將典型地非常快。
用以請求並轉換這些WTRU量測的一個較佳方式使用了無限網路子層應用部分(radio network sublayer application part,RNSAP)程序。無限網路子層應用部分(RNSAP)有四個基本程式單元。這些程式單元之一為"整體程序(Global Procedure)"程式單元。此程式單元包含在RNC間執行胞元階資訊交換訊息之發送的程序。例如,接收到的總寬頻功率,載入與全球定位系統(GPS)時序資訊係藉使用一共用量測訊息而被交換。
使用無限網路子層應用部分(RNSAP)整體程序而交換的資訊表單係被擴至允許較佳的RRM。特別地,此資訊有助於最初之訊號換手決定。例如,與換手至周圍RNC的偏差胞元有關的資訊將助於此種決定。在此被提及的第三代無線技術統合計劃(3GPP)系統中,使用整體程序程式單元而交換的資訊與一特定WTRU或是WTRU群組並無關連。因此,其並不支 持透過IUR 36來傳送WTRU資料的傳輸。較佳地,資訊應透過使用無限網路子層應用部分(RNSAP)程序之IUR 36而傳送,假使此種類比胞元資訊可獲自於S-RNC 40之中或是與D-RNC 38有關的RRM決定之中。

Claims (7)

  1. 一種在一寬頻分碼多重存取(W-CDMA)偏移無線網路控制器(D-RNC)中執行的積體電路(IC),該IC包括:被配置成針對另一個無線網路控制器(RNC),在一無線網路控制介面(IUR)上,使用一無線網路子層應用部分(RNSAP)程序的一整體程序模組用以請求共用量測的電路,該共用量測包括所接收的總寬頻功率、載入與全球定位系統(GPS)時序資訊;以及被配置成在該IUR上使用該RNSAP程序從一服務無線網路控制器(S-RNC)請求使用者量測的電路,該使用者量測包括所接收信號編碼功率(RSCP)和干擾信號編碼功率(ISCP)。
