Abstract

技术领域
本发明是有关无线通讯系统,特别是,本发明是有关此类系统中无线网络控制器间的信息发射。
背景技术
图1显示一无线通讯系统,此系统中所有的用户皆藉由一无线网络控制器(RNC)20来管理。每个用户,即无线发射/接收单元(WTRU)24,与节点-B221(Node-B 221)进行无线通讯。节点-Bs 221-222群组是由无线网络控制器(RNC)20所控制。
当WTRU 24移动时,WTRU 241、242在基站与节点-Bs 32、34之间进行交接机制。图2是显示一WTRU 241、242从第一RNC 28管理的区域移动到第二RNC 26所管理的区域。WTRU 242被认定已经“偏移(drift)”至新的RNC区域,该RNC(第二个RNC)就被视为是偏移RNC(D-RNC)26。D-RNC26具有并控制一节点-Bs 32,第一RNC则被视为服务无线网络控制器(S-RNC)28。传统的RNCs(S-RNC 28和D-RNC 26)可通过RNC接口(Iur)互相进行一些信息的通讯,在WTRU 242“偏移”至D-RNC 26后,D-RNC 26会替“正在偏移”的WTRU 242执行一些功能,例如动态信道分配(DCA)、进入许可控制、排程以及RRM功能,S-RNC 28仍然会为“正在偏移”的WTRU 242执行其它功能,例如换手机制的判断以及WTRU下行链路量测信息的收集。当WTRU24不偏移时,例如图1所示,RNC 20管理WTRU 24执行S-RNC 28和D-RNC 26的功能。
在第三代合伙人计划(3GPP)的R99、R4及R5的规格下,当WTRU241、242从S-RNC 28交递至D-RNC 26时,小区开始装载且许多节点-B量测信息会从S-RNC 28发送至D-RNC 26。然而,并没有一个机制能从S-RNC 28发射可信的信息至D-RNC 26,例如WTRU量测信息。
因此,在RNC之间能有更佳的点对点通讯是一件令人渴望的事。
发明内容
一种偏移无线发射/接收单元(WTRU)具有一相连的偏移无线网络控制器(D-RNC)与一相连的服务无线网络控制器(S-RNC)。偏移无线网络控制器(D-RNC)发送一要求消息至服务无线网络控制器(S-RNC)要求偏移WTRU的量测信息,S-RNC接收此要求消息并发送一被要求的量测信息消息至D-RNC,此D-RNC接收此信息消息。

具体实施方式
虽然较佳实施例是以第三代合伙人计划(3GPP)的宽频码份多址(W-CDMA)规格来描述,但实施例亦应用在其它无线通讯系统。
未来,一种无线发射/接收单元(WTRU)包含但不限制在用户装置、移动基站、固接或移动用户单位、呼叫器、或能于无线环境下操作的任何其它形式装置。
图3是一“正在偏移”的WTRU 242在使用点对点信息交换时,一S-RNC40、一D-RNC 38及一IUR 36的简易方块流程图。图4是点对点信息交换的流程图。S-RNC 40为“正在偏移”的WTRU 242执行例如交递判断和收集WTRU下行链路量测信息的功能,D-RNC 38则为“正在偏移”的WTRU 242 执行功能,例如动态信道分配(DCA)、进入许可控制、排程以及RRM等功能。
D-RNC 38具有一RRM 42,RRM 42为与D-RNC 38相连的小区的 WTRUs管理资源,D-RNC 38替“正在偏移”的WTRU242的小区以及其它利用上行量测收集装置44的小区收集上行链路量测信息,这些量测信息在RRM 42可用来作为资源配置和管理的用途,RRM 42也具有可让WTRUs执行S-RNC功能的信息。
D-RNC 38已与RRM 42逻辑连结,当RRM 42要求“正在偏移”的WTRU242或一个群组或WTRUs的下行量测信息,逻辑46激活一WTRU量测需求装置48通过Iur36发送一讯息,即步骤60。
D-RNC 38可能会要求该信息的样本,包括下行链路公共控制物理信道(CCPCH)接收信号编码功率(RSCP)、干扰信号编码功率(ISCP)量测及/或流量量测。较佳地,D-RNC信息要求消息不能要求WTRU242执行或送出量测,但D-RNC 38要求此类的量测信息可实时被S-RNC 40所利用。
在Iru 36上的信令消息(signaling message)允许任一D-RNC 88激活与位于个别WTRU上、位于WTRU群组上或是在出现于一个或更多小区中的WTRU上的S-RNCs的信息交换,因此其并不假设其在一S-RNC中的角色。此过程较佳地并不是一个简单的WTRU特有信息的“转递(forwarding)”,例如WTRU量测。较佳地,该D-RNC逻辑46通常对于所需的信息型态做决定,纵使逻辑函数46可能藉控制RNC(C-RNC)来表现。一位于D-RNC 38中的逻辑函数46是决定是否以及何时其将需要量测以便自该S-RNC 40而被发送。例如,假使D-RNC 38侦测到超过一个门限数或是百分比,例如10%,的WTRU是处于”偏移”模式,其一般将会开始要求量测以便被发送。在一较佳实施中,由节点B接口(Iub/Iur)的第三代合伙人计划(3GPP)标准所定义而存在的信息组件以及标准化的WTRU量测/报告机制是被利用。
一较佳信息允许D-RNC 38在一特定时间间隔中对一特定”偏移”WTRU242,或是对位在一特定小区中的所有”偏移”WTRU,亦或是在特定时间间隔内对与S-RNC 40有关的小区群组来请求量测。当拥有一特定S-RNC的许多WTRU处于”偏移”模式时,一种请求WTRU群组信息的通信定义表是被渴望的。例如,一第一列车站(train station)是藉一第一RNC所支撑而一第二列车站则是藉一第二RNC所支撑。搭上开始于该第一列车站而正离开该第二列车站的列车的所有WTRU可能具有该第一RNC,例如S-RNC 40,以及该第二RNC,例如D-RNC 38。在此通信定义表中,要求“偏移”WTRU群组中的WTRU信息将减少信息过量。然而,一具有被增大的信息过量(messagingoverhead)的通信定义表,此过程在该处将仅允许每个WTRU的一单独WTRU能被使用。
此讯息是被正在偏移的WTRU S-RNC 40所接收,步骤62。该S-RNC 40具有一WTRU量测收集装置52。此WTRU量测收集装置52储存特定WTRU的下行链路量测。一WTRU量测响应装置50通过Iur36发送一量测/信息讯息至D-RNC 38,步骤64。D-RNC RRM 42使用这些量测在它的资源分配与管理中,步骤66。通过Iur36来转换这些数据的一个好处是这些数据转换一般非常快。
用以请求并转换这些WTRU量测的一个较佳方式使用了无线电网络子层应用部分(radio network sublayer application part,RNSAP)程序。无线电网络子层应用部分(RNSAP)有四个基本程序单元。这些程序单元的一为“整体程序(Global Procedure)”程序单元。此程序单元包含在RNC间执行小区阶信息交换讯息的发送的程序。例如,接收到的总宽频功率,加载与全球定位系统(GPS)时序信息是藉使用一公共量测讯息而被交换。
使用无线电网络子层应用部分(RNSAP)整体程序而交换的信息窗体是被扩至允许较佳的RRM。特别地,此信息有助于最初的讯号换手决定。例如,与换手至周围RNC的偏差小区有关的信息将助于此种决定。在此被提及的第二代合伙人计划(3GPP)系统中,使用整体程序单元而交换的信息与一特定WTRU或是WTRU群组并无关连。因此,其并不支持通过Iur36来发射WTRU数据的传输。较佳地,信息应通过使用无线电网络子层应用部分(RNSAP)程序的Iur36而发射,假使此种模拟小区信息可获自于S-RNC 40之中或是与D-RNC 38有关的RRM决定之中。
此种通过Iur36的信息交换是使得一D-RNC 38可自该S-RNC 40中请求WTRU量测信息,并使得更多小区信息能在使用无线电网络子层应用部分(RNSAP)整体程序组件单元的点RNC之间被交换。典型地,这些信息的交换增大了在D-RNC 38中的RRM算法(动态信道分配(DCA),容许控制(Admission Control),服务排程以及其它)的表现,其是由于WTRU量测 的可利用性。增大的RRM,特别是动态信道分配(DCA),促进了在无线系统,例如第三代无线技术统合计划(3GPP)的分时双重划分(time division duplex,TDD)模式,中的表现、效率以及坚实(robustness)。
Claims (9)
1.一种宽频码分多址(W-CDMA)偏移无线网络控制器(DRNC),该DRNC包括:
逻辑装置,该逻辑装置用于激活无线发射/接收单元(WTRU)量测要求装置;以及
WTRU量测要求装置,该WTRU量测要求装置用于通过无线网络控制器接口(IUR)使用无线电网络子层应用部分(RNSAP)程序的整体程序单元向服务无线网络控制器(SRNC)发送要求偏移WTRU的量测的要求消息,其中被要求的量测包括下行链路公共控制物理信道(CCPCH)接收信号编码功率(RSCP)和干扰信号编码功率(ISCP)量测。
2.根据权利要求1所述的DRNC,其中所述WTRU量测要求装置进一步用于接收对所述要求消息的响应。
3.根据权利要求1所述的DRNC,该DRNC进一步包括用于收集上行链路量测的上行链路量测收集装置。
4.根据权利要求1所述的DRNC,该DRNC进一步包括:
无线资源管理装置,该无线资源管理装置用于管理所述DRNC的无线资源。
5.一种宽频码分多址(W-CDMA)服务无线网络控制器(SRNC),该SRNC包括:
无线发射/接收单元(WTRU)量测响应装置,该WTRU量测响应装置用于响应于通过无线网络控制器接口(IUR)从偏移无线网络控制器(DRNC)接收使用无线电网络子层应用部分(RNSAP)程序的整体程序单元要求偏移WTRU的量测的要求消息,通过所述IUR使用所述RNSAP程序的整体程序单元发送WTRU的量测到所述DRNC,其中被要求的量测包括下行链路公共控制物理信道(CCPCH)接收信号编码功率(RSCP)和干扰信号编码功率(ISCP)量测;以及
WTRU量测收集装置,该WTRU量测收集装置用于收集被要求的WTRU的量测。
6.一种被配置成作为服务无线网络控制器(SRNC)和偏移无线网络控制器(DRNC)进行操作的宽频码分多址(W-CDMA)无线网络控制器(RNC),该W-CDMARNC包括:
逻辑装置,该逻辑装置用于当所述W-CDMARNC作为DRNC进行操作时,激活无线发射/接收单元(WTRU)量测要求装置;
