Abstract
In order to provide an alternative material that does not require organic peroxide crosslinking-therefore being able to significantly improve the production efficiency of a solar cell module-and that moreover has excellent properties as a solar cell element sealing material, a sealing material is used containing a polyethylene polymer (i), and a hydrogenated conjugated diene block copolymer (iii) formed from hydrogenating the olefinic unsaturated bonds within a conjugated diene block copolymer (ii) having at least one of each of: a 1,3-butadiene polymer block (A) wherein the quantity of 1,2-bonds contained is less than 20 mol%; and a polymer block (B) that contains at least 50 mass % of a conjugated diene compound unit, of which the sum of the quantities of 1,2-bonds contained and 3,4-bonds contained is 30-90 mol%.
