Abstract
The present invention relates to a blue-light emitting phosphor. The subject of the invention is to increase the brightness which is obtained by inspiring the blue-light emitting phosphor that has a basic constitution formula represented by MeMgSi2O6Eu and has a malacolite crystal structure (wherein, Me is more than one alkali-earth metal element selected from Ca, Sr and Ba). The settling measure is that the surface of blue-light emitting phosphor is coated by the amorphous silica layer with the thickness of 2-20nm).
