Abstract

The present invention proposes a novel design of miniature coplanar waveguide feed-in dipole antenna suitable for 5 GHz adjustable frequency band. The disclosed antenna mainly includes: a microwave substrate, a coplanar waveguide transmission unit containing two asymmetrical grounding surfaces, and the bending-wire type micro-strip radiation unit feeding in signal from the bottom. By means of the advantage of utilizing coplanar waveguide feeding in, the entire antenna structure can be printed on the single conductive surface of the microwave substrate, so that the antenna of the present invention is very easily integrated with other microwave integrated circuits. By means of the structure arrangement and the mutual electromagnetic coupling effect in the bending conductive wire of the radiation unit, the antenna of the present invention can achieve size miniaturization, bandwidth increase, and adjustable frequency band. In the embodiment of the disclosed antenna, the FR4 microwave substrate is utilized together with the entire antenna size of only 9 mm (in width) x 9.5 mm (in height) x 1.6 mm (in thickness) to modulate the antenna resonance mode suitable for the wireless local area network of 5.25 frequency band or the wireless local area network/radiation frequency identification of 5.8 GHz frequency band.
