Abstract

A heat pipe includes a metal tube and a sealed case formed in the tube. The tube includes an evaporating portion, a condensing portion and an adiabatic portion arranged between the evaporating and the condensing portions in a length direction of the tube. The case defines a plurality of capillary structures in an inner wall thereof and is filled with a working liquid therein. The capillary structures include first cellular capillary structures disposed in the adiabatic portion of the tube and second cellular capillary structures disposed in the evaporating portion of the tube. The first cellular capillary structures are formed by metal flakes and apertures of the second cellular capillary structures are smaller than those of the first cellular capillary structures. Flow resistance of the adiabatic portion of the tube is small that avails a return of the working liquid in the case. The evaporating portion of the tube can provide more exiguous holes and high capillary press to avails return and boiling of the working liquid in the case.
