Abstract
The present invention describes lead and arsenic free and preferably gadolinium and further preferably also fluorine free optical glasses for the application fields mapping, projection, telecommunication, optical communication engineering, mo-bile drive and/or laser technology with a refractive index of 1.86 ≤ nd ≤ 1.95, an Abbe number of 19 ≤ vd ≤ 24 and a low transformation tem-perature, namely of less than or equal to 595 DEG C and preferably of less than or equal to 550 DEG C, as well as good producability and processability and crystalliza-tion stability. The glasses according to the present invention comprise components as stated in claim 1.
