Abstract
Provided is an unauthorized conduct preventing method for preventing an unauthorized conduct from cutting a connection between a game device and a LAN intentionally. In case the connection between the LAN in a shop and a game device (2) is cut by a player, an abnormal operation is executed as a deterring force to deter a subsequent unauthorized conduct. The abnormal operation is exemplified by outputting an error screen or an alarm sound, by ending the game forcibly, by a virtual match by a CPU and by writing the result of a game forcibly ended midway, in a card. The communication trouble on an internal network (5) and the communication trouble on an external network (3) such as the internet are discriminated to make a difference between the operation to cope with the communication trouble on the internal network (5) and the operation to cope with the communication trouble on the external network (3). This difference acts as the deferring force against the unauthorized conduct, which might otherwise cause the communication trouble of the internal network (5) intentionally.
