Abstract

Disclosed is a curable composition having good adhesiveness and being suitable for liquid crystal displays which hardly contaminates a liquid crystal material or an alignment film and the like as peripheral members and thus enables a liquid crystal display to have high display quality. Such a curable composition has good storage stability in a liquid state before curing. Specifically disclosed is a liquid sealing material obtained by combining (a) 100 parts by weight of a partly esterified bisphenol A and/or bisphenol F epoxy (meth)acrylate resin; (b) 90-200 parts by weight of an epoxy resin or an oxethane resin; (c) a photoradical polymerization initiator composed of an urethanization reaction product between a hydroxyl group-containing benzoyl compound represented by the general formula (1) below and an isocyanate compound, or a compound represented by the general formula (2) below; and (d) a thermally latent curing agent. (1) (In the formula (1), R1 represents a hydroxy group or a hydroxyalkoxy group, and R2 and R3 independently represent an alkyl group.) (In the formula (2), R1 and R2 independently represent H or CH3, and n represents 1-10.)
