Abstract

It is an object of this invention to provide a thin metal sheet having a figure on one side and a planar, fixing surface on another side. A sufficient amount of adhesive agent can be applied by coating on the planar, fixing surface. It is also an object of this invention to provide a method for making such thin metal sheet having a surface of figure on which a corrosion-resisting plating layer can be easily formed. The thin metal sheet having a figure of this invention has a figure on its surface and a cross section of a trapezoid-like shape. The thin metal sheet is prepared in the form of a thin metal film with a figure, by an electroforming process with a electrically conductive mold (for electroforming), and etching the thin metal film with a figure into the shape of a desired pattern.
