Abstract
A contents distribution system includes: a distribution request reception unit (34) for receiving a distribution request from a user terminal (1); a route search unit (32) for searching a communication route; a band measurement unit (33) for measuring a remaining band which can be used in the communication line; a distribution decision unit (37) for permitting distribution of contents when all the communication lines have a remaining band not smaller than a predetermined band; a route information accumulation unit (6) for recording the band change for each time in the remaining band of the respective communication lines; a reservation management unit (35) for receiving a reservation request from the user terminal; and a user management unit (36) for registering reservation information in a user database (4). According to the band of the respective communication line obtained by subtracting the band of communication line reserved from the band, the distribution decision unit (37) decides whether to enable distribution of contents data. This enables a VOD service not generating quality lowering of the contents data distributed but preventing the increase of the communication load, and improves the quality of the VOD service.
