Abstract
Disclosed is a threading device of a sewing machine, comprising a thread guard 5 provided in a threading implement A1, a moving guide wall 5a formed on the thread guard 5 along its vertical direction, a thread-guard outer edge 5c formed in a swinging free end side and a vertically moving area of the moving guide wall for guiding a rear position of the needle thread, an inner edge 5d formed in one side of a swinging central of the moving guide wall, and the threading implement A1 formed in the back side of the moving guide wall 5a downward inclined toward a front tip. The needle thread passes from the sewing machine body to the back side of the moving guide wall via the outer edge of the thread guard 5, is pulled out from the inner edge to the front side of the moving guide wall, and the needle thread can be vertically moved with respect to the inner edge 5d. Thus, the threading device can prevent cast-off of a needle thread once inserted through a pinhole from the pinhole when releasing the device by sufficiently securing a loop state of the needle thread drawn in the pinhole by a threading hook
