Abstract
To provide an intrusion detecting apparatus utilizing a combined sensor and camera, which is capable of detecting with minimized erroneous operation, an object Q intruding in a predetermined area. Included is a sensor unit 1 for detecting an object Q in reference to change in detection lines from any one of detection areas A0 to An, an image processing unit 4 for detecting the object Q in reference to change in video signal MS from a first specific area AC1 taken by a camera 2, an area setting unit for setting the first specific area ACI on a monitor screen 6 electrically connected with the camera 2, and a detection signal generating unit 5 for generating a first object detection signal DE1 in response to receipt of both of a detection signal PD from the sensor unit 1 and a detection signal MD1 from the image processing unit 4.
