Abstract

A pseudo engine sound generation device, which is installed in a vehicle (e.g., an electric four-wheeled vehicle or an electric two-wheeled vehicle) so as to reproduce prescribed pseudo engine sound (i.e., simulation of engine sound of an actual gasoline vehicle, or reproduced sound of a prescribed musical tune or a melody), is characterized by comprising a short-distance wireless communicator based on the Bluetooth system. In a vehicle service system formed by multiple vehicles, by communicating control signals via short-distance wireless communicators, it is possible to automatically synchronize the pseudo engine sound reproduced by the present vehicle with the pseudo engine sound reproduced by the other vehicle. Thus, it is possible to eliminate displeasure in hearing by drivers (or passengers) due to non-synchronization of pseudo engine sounds reproduced by multiple vehicles. In addition, by arranging short-distance wireless communicators at specific locations (e.g., railroad crossings and neighborhoods of schools), it is possible to automatically control (or reduce tone volumes of) pseudo engine sounds reproduced by vehicles approaching specific locations; hence, drivers can recognize that the corresponding vehicles are approaching specific locations.
