Abstract

By a reciprocating motion in a sealed state the piston of a diaphragm pump sends oil to the chamber on the driving side of the diaphragm. The piston sealing structure has the features: the oil reservoir mounted on the top of the diaphragm pump being connected to the chamber on the driving side of the idaphragm, packings around the piston being constituted of a first packing arranged on the high pressure side of the piston and a second packing on the lower pressure side, and an in-between element disposed between the first and the second packings and defining a vent gap with the piston that directs the leakage from the first packing to the foregoing oil reservoir.
