Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain sealing properties in a good condition against the fluctuation in pressure in both spaces by constructing a sealing device between the space in a piston back face and the space in a crank room with No.1 and No.2 sealing members the high sealing properties of which are contrary to each other against flow. CONSTITUTION:No.1 sealing member 12 of a lip seal type which exhibits excellent sealing properties against the flow from a space X to a space Y, is mounted between the space X of a piston 2 back face and the space Y in a crank room. And No.2 sealing member 9 of a lip seal type which exhibits excellent sealing properties against the flow from the space Y to the space X is installed concurrently. Owing to this constitution, sealing properties are maintained in a good condition regardless of the fluctuation in pressure in both the space Y in the crank room and the space X of the piston back face, thereby preventing lubricant from coming into the piston side.
