Buluş bir cam eritme fırını ile ilgili olup; bu fırın, eriyecek camı almaya ve erimiş cam banyosunu (B) barındırması için, ön (3), arka ve yanal duvarlara ve bir tonoza (V), ayrıca rejeneratör veya geri kazanıcının (R) çıkışında en az bir sıcak yanma havası girişine, en az bir sıcak duman çıkışına ve havuz (L) içine bir birinci yakıtın girişi için en az bir brülöre (1) sahip olan bir eritme havuzu (L) içermektedir; tonoz (V) ve cam banyosuna (B) olan mesafesi hava akımının minimal yüksekliğine eşit veya daha fazla olan yatay bir düzlem (P) arasında bulunan bir bölge (IN) içine bir ikinci yakıtın enjekte edilmesine yönelik en az bir yardımcı enjektör içermesi ile karakterize edilmektedir.
