Abstract

The construction process for a tramway track (16) comprises several stages. The sides (3,4) and the underside (5) of a rail (1) are coated with a resilient material (2) before placing on supports (10) on top of a foundation baseplate (13). The supports are adjusted into a position where the surface of the rails is at the same level as the track surface. Concrete (31) is then poured around and under the coated rail to form the road surface (32).
