Hedef bitki dokusunda gen etkisini engellemek için bir yöntem olup bu yöntem bir bitkinin bütün olarak yeniden türetilebilecegi tipte bir bitki hücresini hedef bitki dokusunun hücrelerinde islev gören dokuya özgü ya da gelisime özgü bir destekleyici proteine ve etkili oldugunda hedef dokunun hücrelerinde solunum engelleyebilen ve böylece hücrelerin ölümüne neden olan bir protein kodlayan engelleyici gene sahip bir gen yapisi ile kalici bir sekilde dönüstürmeyi içermektedir ve sözü geçen engelleyici gen T-urf113 genini, a- ya da -tubulin kodlayan genleri, iki asli misir hücresini kisa duyuyla birlikte bastiran genleri, cdc25 ve kopya kökenini aktive edici (ROA) genleri ve iç mitokondriyal zarin adenin nükleotid yerdegistirticisinin (ANT) kisa duyulu kurucu genini içeren gruptan seçilmektedir.
