Abstract
Se describe un método para inhibir la expresion de genes; el método, que afecta la actividad enzimática en una planta, comprende expresar en una planta (una célula, un tejido o un organo de la misma) una secuencia de nucleotidos, en donde la secuencia de nucleotidos codifica, parcial o completamente, para un intron en una orientacion de sentido; y en donde la secuencia de nucleotidos no contiene una secuencia que es de sentido a una secuencia del exon asociada normalmente con el intron.
